Ever since losing to Lourdes in a game where Faribault looked completely disintersted the Falcons are 6-0 and averaging nearly 7 goals a game.

Century being tied 0-0 after 1 with East and only winning 6-0 suprised me a bit. West giving up 7 to Owatonna also suprised me as they had only given up more than 3 once since Jan 1st and that was to Century. The Owatonna game was West's 4th in 6 days as well so fatigue may have something to do with the 7 goals.
You've got a good pt about Mayo not having anything to play for. Although, Grosso doesn't strike me as the type of coach who would tolerate a 1/2 hearted effort and getting steamrolled going into sections.

East has been playing their soph goalie lately vs their jr. He seems to be playing pretty good right now. East only plays 2 lines so they need to be ahead or close going into the 3rd or they risk running out of gas. I believe they have the better top end talent (top 8-9)compared to West, but West has put it together as a team and East hasn't.

Did Albert Lea let the big 9 slip away? Did they have it and then lose it when they choked to Mankato West and Mayo.

I think Albert Lea has been Co-Champs twice before. This was a big chance for them this year to take the title on there own and they blew it.
That's what I don't like about this big-9 schedule. Albert Lea actually lost 6 games to big-9 teams, but only 2 of the losses counted. If they had won the conference it would have been a joke. Even the 4pt/2pt system was better than this.

this might be way too biased outta you black ice. Seth allen is MAYBE the only defenseman on east, not counting willert, that would make the west squad, west has better goaltending, and I cannot see anyone other than billiar, willert, and ries making the west squad.

west has better defensemen clearly with seniors campbell and jose , they have more of a balanced scoring attack than east also i'd take their goaltending over east's. give their sophomore weihe some credit for goaltending with their defense, most of which are converted forwards..

Wasn't trying to put down West. They don't have the drop off in talent in their top 13-14 players that East does. Clearly East doesn't have anyone as good as Campbell on defense. Looking at the rosters going into the season, most people would have picked East to beat West head to head.
But West has gelled as a team, maybe because of goaltending or maybe because of experienced defensemen or both. East has not. West has more depth and has turned into a better team than East.

So out of Hermer, Westlund, Borchardt, Viiala, & Allen only Allen would maybe see a few minutes for West? After watching West I didn't realize their 3rd line and #3-5 defensemen were that good. Sounds like a little hyperbole from a West fan.

I'm not a fan of any of the schools, just voicing my opinion. Allen would probably be west's fourth defenseman. Their third line would give way to ries, billiar, willert..(They wouldn't be west's third line, just replace those players. All of the other guys you mentioned likely wouldn't make the mankato west roster, imho. West's top two lines are pretty solid from whayt I've seen against East and Albert lea, better than a line combo or defensive pairing of the above players. On a side note, seth allen is much improved from last year on the blueline.
