You have to remember, PR was about as good as Bagley until about 5-6 years ago. Maybe that's why some in here don't understand the hype that PR fans bring to this "bored". It's a program that's come a long ways with very little resources. I think that gets misleading to some in here that think us PR fans think our team is all great...but really it's just a clog of fans who've never had a glimmer of hope of winning anything until recently - hence the hype, or overhype as some see in here.
Well I am happy for PR, but don't put a lot of stock in my rankings.

Thanks for using Bagley as a bad reference. Bagley is having a tough time just putting enough players on the ice each game and I could see in the future possibly not having a team if numbers keep declining.

That's exactly why I used Bagley as an example. It's not a diss. PR is lucky to even field a team right now(school legislation, low #'s, etc). 10 years ago we were in the same situation. My bantam team started with 11 players and we ended the year with 9. It hasn't gotten significantly better, either.

Sorry, I took it as a diss, but you explained it better now. I understand exactly what you are saying now. I hope PR can give a few of these other schools a run this year. I will give PR lots of credit because they have come from the bottom and hopefully can compete with everyone in 8A this year and give some of the top teams a run for their money. (WARROAD)

Sioux Recruit...I've been called much worse whatever you're thinking.

Fact of the matter is...if you fellas are going to toot a horn that probably shouldn't be tooted too loudly...somebody will come along, grab the horn, stomp it flat and hand it back to you.

Remember what your dad did to your kazoo when he finally had enough, same deal

. Oops...your probably not old enough to know what a kazoo is.
Remember the Opera analogy from a few weeks back...it still applies.

Suzy, Suzy, Suzy,

I don't see many of the EGF regulars on here tooting how they are going to stomp PR. The rest of us from all over the place have done that for them. For a college graduate you really miss A LOT.

Try slowing down, reading a post and digesting it before you regurgitate a response. I really am trying to help improve your comprehension and therefore, your posting skills.

The numbers for the Flyers
termites-35
Mites-33
NO SQUIRTS
Peewees-25
Bantams-11 (moved some Peewees up tho)
HS- Currently we have 15 on the roster and 2 goalies. Next year we will have to find a back up goalie due to a senior graduating.
We will not have a problem fielding a team, it will be a tough run for a year but we will be just fine. As for making fun of us, feel free because honestly we havent played 3 full periods all year. We have shown bright spots in the past 5 games but cannot play a full game.
NL Lightning-gave up 4 goals in first 5 minutes but played it back to 4-3 but ran out of gas in third.
Ely- Only had 9 skaters due to injury... 'nough said there..
Prairie Center- Played a very very good first 2 periods but the third we let down.
Moose Lake- Tough close game until the 2nd period.
RLF- Gave them a 3-0 lead heading into the second but we would have tied if you take away the first.
As for Schwang using us, I hope that we can get a few seasons like you guys have. Congrats on turning that program around.

Bagley has a good board right now that are dedicated to youthhockey.
While they have no suirts playing under the Bagley flag, the first year squirts are playing in Bemidji and second years are with the peewees (in general).
While they may never be a powerhouse they do offer competitive B team most years and give the kids a good experience.

We tried that about 7-8 years ago.
But with some better numbers at the younger levels, it should be a possibitlity. And, we do have other options to gain more experience for those kids. I have spoke to Drew and will again over the next few months.

An interesting side note--Park Rapids first varsity hockey game back in the day was against Bagley with the winning goal IIRC being scored by Bagley's Ben Brovold, who is now the coach at Walker-Hackensack-Akely, with their first varsity game having been against Park Rapids.
