Fair enough-I didn't say I was pulling away from the table either. Maybe I need to show more patients and tolerance. So I guess I'll stop by for seconds on occasion-ha ha! I get it, I just sometimes need to keep an open mind-I'm very good at admitting my own character defects though!

Maybe........ but if ya don't vote ya Can't complain.

I Favor community over isolation... but a religious family in the public system creates an conundrum in the mind....so I gotta go with what I believe is best for most....Unless your a Me, Myself, and I guy.....and that's where I choose the Pubs because I believe you get a wider perspective of others views..and more chances to do Lords work where it's needed most and is being suppressed.

I wonder if the Cats players do all the same foul mouthing in the P box that the pubs kids do? [-X
or are we all the same after all?

Okay Ankles

The answer is

The Hoene brothers and slow moving Trachsal kid beat the Broncos 3 to 2.
Ironically, a good Catholic boy by the name DeMarchi was sitting in the penalty box when the winner was scored. This was in 1967 after the unbeaten Broncos won the title in 1965.

And of course the team the Broncs lost to was....

Duluth Cathedral Hilltoppers...
Catholic school but a northern school...

Answer, Pagan!

Thanks for the research, Elliot ('course ya could'a saved some time by ask'n AP).

No denying where the word "Lent" came from, either, but Catholics have always understood that all good things come from God... so we took over your pagan Lent just like we took over your pagan State Hockey Tournament and gave it back to Jesus!

Amen AP.

And we aim to keep it.

But the counter attack by the goose stepping pagans and their evil leader aDavelf will be formidible.

They will be well financed by taxpayer dollars and armed with anti transfer weapons.

Last night the pagans conspired to cancel the games that would help us prepare for the upcomig battle. It had something to do with arbitrary rules regading weather. Geez, thats a switch. Mindless rules that they attempt tp apply in all situations no matter what.

Really works well doesnt it.

Well of course AP. Like SSP would ever cancel a hockey game because of weather... or anythinng else for that matter.

Well, I got my shopping done.

I wonder what it would be like if all of the retailers acted like our public school officials and pretended there was really no such thing as Christmas.

Packerboy would have none of it.

Merry Christmas guys.

May the Peace of Jesus Christ be with all of you and your families.

Well , cudos to Mitch and Lee for the lovley minnhock home page. All decked out in green and red and the gretting is "Merry Christmas"not
"Happy Holidays" nor "Seasons Gretings"

Not bad for a Cheesehead and a Dulutheran.

Well, the Cathoilcs will face tough competitiotn in the icecream bowl starting today.

I notice, in the Gold division , AHA and HM are both in the upper bracket.

The Stars face a tough opponent in Roseville and HM is up against Lee's favorite team, the always classy Greyhounds.

The Silver has CDH going up against those upstart Warriors from Brainerd. I suppose the icehouses will be empty today as Stitch Lips and his crowd come down to the big city.

STA goes against the tradition rich and well coached Edina team . Growing up in the slums of Edina have the Hornets finely honed.

The Red Knights of BSM take on the Blaze from tiny little Burnsville. The old Braves look for a revival back to the glory days of the mid 80s while BSM seeks to establish its own tradition as a AA power.

In the Bronze division the Catholic teams are......never mind.

Good luck to the Cathlolics.

Get out and watch the teams. Its a great chance to see some of the best in the state.

If you dont catch them now you will have to wait. You will have to wait until Lent.

Actually, it was intended for Protestants but Cath'lics are free to enjoy it as well :) Maybe next season it will be a tribute to Kwanzaa, eh?

Small point of order here, also; Mitch doesn't run minnhock. Kind of the reverse of a similar confusion thinking minnhock runs this Board.

Thanks Lee. I always like to know who to blame.

So, I havent heard much from you about whether the Greyhounds can beat the Catholics and get into the finals.

Whats the word form Canal Park? Do they have the ice rinks and lights up this year?

Edina knocks off one of our Catholic teams(STA) 4-3 in OT.

Edina may have to beat 3 Catholics to claim the Silver trophy. Can that be done?

HM leads 2-0 in the first over the Dulutherans.

That was a very good Edina team, and a very good St Thomas team. Third period St Thomas just handed them the game. Very good game to watch though.

HS, thanks for the info. But the last 2 games that STA lost you attribute to "having a bad game" or "they handed it to them".

Could it be something else? Like maybe the competition?

Until STA moves up to AA (and HSHW stops making excuses), they're "Kerry-katholics."

Real Christians 3 Pretenders 0

amen to that

The Pagans still have 1, so the Pretenders are now losing. right?
