Blaine put up 6 to Champlin Parks 1 last night, some would argue the conference is up for grabs but in reality its a 3 team race and if they play the make up games from the weather day back in Nov/Dec Blaine if they play like they have been will be tied for the lead with the Cougars who have the extra conference game on them. But this comes down to a 3 team race Blaine, Centennial, and Elk River

You are right my Bengal friend...however, i would probably say this will be a two team race between bengals and cougars. No way will Maple Grove be in the race either even tho it looks like thats what hockey observer was trying to say after the other nite. When do Centenial and Elks play agin?

The Elks and Cougars play again this week on the 25th at Elk River. Elk River took the first game 4-1 on the second game of the year. Should be another close one that could go either way.

In Max Preps, it says that CR beat Andover 8 - 3. It also says that SOG were 17 from CR and 15 from Andover, is this true. Ray of Andover let 8 goals in on 17 shots? Please let me know if this is a typo.

CR and Andover game..Yes it is true.. The problem with CR is there forwards dont shoot the puck enough there always looking for the perfect shot. If you look at any of there games there always outshot. But when they do shoot there quality shots and they also dont use there points enough to get more shots.

I hate to burst your bubble because you sound like either a C. Rap town student or player, but the real problem with the mighty cardinals and brace yourself, this could be a bit of a shocker...THEY'RE NO GOOD!

"C" word Rapids belongs in the North Suburban Conference. Playing against teams where they're not so often overmatched might help them create more excitement and build up the youth program to numbers fitting their population.

After tonight it's really a two team race between the Cougars and the Bengals. Should set up a great game in a few weeks on the 15th on FSN. Appears it could come down to that game for the conference title. Should be fun to watch.

So when all is said and done and the title comes down to Blaine and Centennial who takes the title? Blaine has 4 tough games against, Anoka, Elk River, Maple Grove, and Centennial remaing. Centennial has games against Anoka, Blaine and Maple Grove along with a non conference game against Morehead that has no effect on the NWSC. Should all goes as plan and Blaine wins out and finishes with the same record as Centennial (pending the North Metro Make up Game) do they share the title or is there a tie breaker out there to award it to one team?

Well if Blaine wins all their remaining games with AHE and maybe MG being scary opponents and I'm assuming Centennial will win out, both teams will have one conference loss and the matchup on the 15th will decide it. I am thinking that is what will happen, both teams are playing good puck right now and they know all of these conference games are important to winning the title so there should be know let downs. With that being said, however, teams like Anoka, MG and AHE would love to add another loss to one of these teams records and ruin their hopes, so it should be fun to watch.

Maple Grove with a convincing win over Anoka last night 5-0. The 3-5 teams are pretty much a tossup as of now.

Centennial escapes with a one goal victory over the Cardnials with a power play goal with 28 seconds left in the 3rd. What happened in this one? Did they over look Coon Rapids and prepare for Moorhead a game early?

No what happened here is CR is starting to play like they should. They out played Cent. and for a 5 on 3 with 1:30 to play they may have beat cent. Earlier in the season the first conferance game they lost one of there defenseman for a month then the other day against ER one of there top forwards was out. If you are overlooking CR thats good for them.

Was he playing when the Elks beat them 6-0 earlier in the season?
