Correct, but for the time being, they are in first.

Yes they are. Gophers win, Wild in first place and on a 9 game win streak. Life is good in the state of hockey.

That was either Fedoruk or Shane O'Brien
Ivanans did fight Boogaard earlier this year but It was a good fight.

Look on www.hockey-fights.com You can get a description of the fights he has had by clicking on his name.

Ya I saw the Fedoruk and Ivanans fights earlier in the season so I mix them up but you are right it was Fedoruk.

Do you think the WILD are setting themselves up for either Anaheim or Detroit? I would guess they want to stay away form Vancouver? Played them 8 times already this season which is too much. Go to six time a year and bring in some East coast teams.

For those of you watching the Twins without last channel flashback on the remote.

The Wild didn't play great last night but got the 3-0 shutout. Branko came up an assist short of Gordy Howe Hat-Trick. Boogaard also tangled with an Oiler. Backstrom played very well.

What is with the back to back home games with Calgary and Edmonton? I know they have toplay each other eight times (which is more than enough) but they should have been spread out better.

The Western teams save allot of money and mainly travel time. When you compare with the East coast who can take a bus and probly be home after a game allot. It is a big deal. This is one thing that the players do complain about. Travel in the West.

Beside the get to stay at the St. Paul Hotel with their fabulous food. Read it in Sports Illustrated last year that coming to play in MN is the only time they stay in the hotel and use room service.

I know the travel stuff is tough but they could schedule two trips to come through. One could be MN to Chicago to Detroit and home with maybe another game in there somewhere.
The second could be reverse the order and add in Colorado or start here go to St. Louis, Colorado, Dallas Anaheim, San Jose or something in a 10 day trip.

Not as bad as the Detroit series. 4 times in December with Three games against each other in a SIX DAYS! Now that was a joke. Also lost 3 of the four, darn.
