Nice job EP. However, be careful, we play Champlain Park the first game on the EP tournament... lets not take them for granted!

Hastings 6
Eden Prairie 3

Hastings outshot and outworked EP.. it was 5-1 til late in the third when Ep got 2 quick goals... i really dont know how that weak of a team is leading the district

Eagan 8
Blaine 2

It was tied 2-2 going into the 3rd, then Eagan got it together. Paul Hawthorne (#8) got 6 goals, and Eagan had a goal against them disallowed after there was a penalty behind the play, so technically it was 8-3 Eagan.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... agoalie at: 1/23/06 10:20 am

EP Coach. Which team are your referring too about jumping over who? Centennial? I thought the score was 2-0 in favor of EP? I did not attend the game but heard that the EP team is still trying to figure out the lines in view of all their injuries they sustained after the the Maple Grove boys came out kicking some butt. EP has excellent speed, but, when the "big guys" catch you in the corner and lay some wood...then watch out.

Also, are you taking the post above by MNhockey1022 standing or sitting? He thinks the EP squad is weak and should not be leading the Metro League. What gives, eh?

This is a message board everybody has a right to say what they want.(regarding MNhockey1022's comment )

We have sustained some injuries to key players but the Guys are stepping up, and we are begining to feel better. I think the whole metro league is weak this year, i think we have played consistently and that helps us win.

Hastings was just one of those games, They are a good team, and if you don't play your best they will beat you. I think they should feel good about beating us.

Centenial jumped all over us to start the game. We scored with 5 seconds left in the 1st period. They are a good team as well. i think our goalies really help us out, they always keep us in the close games.

I hope this answer was sufficent, but i am through giving other team bulliten board material.

COACH. Nice reply and I appreciate your candor. You have an excellent team given the fact that last years team was composed of seniors except two juniors. Also, last year, a number of players had played at the EP varsity/jv level. So that is always a plus. Your current team, half of which is composed of seniors, needs the underclassmen to step it up. Hopefully they will do that approaching the regions and finals. Your team has the ability to replicate the AHA team. Sharp passing. Blade to blade. Don't hold the puck long. Skate hard and get rid of it. Transition smart. No sloppy passes across the slot breaking out. Anyway, good luck COACH.

JGold. The score should have been 2-0 in favor of Bloomington. Our skaters appeared tired towards the end. Edina hustled well. Anyway, we are on top of the league at present with a rematch with Eden Prairie coming up soon followed by Eagan. My boys at Bloomington are gelling and will get better in February! EPCoach, watch out!

You are actually tied at the top of the league with EP and Eagan and you have played 2 more games than EP....A lot of the teams are getting better it will be a fun last half of the year and there will be some great playoff matches.

watch out for wessys they have beaten blaine twice, embarassed burnsville at their own place, and surprised wayzata at their place...they have gone 6-0 since mid season and r on a mission...beating wayzata was our goal to show the other teams that we belong up top, better watch out, we play eagan, jefferson, centennial and then our most looked forward to game against EP at Marriuci, we know that we're going to state just like last year
