Size does matter, but look at Zach Parise...he is not big at all, but yet he has the skill to make it in the NHL

Actually he got caught up as he was held back a year at some point. That's not a big deal, and it's not saying anything bad about the kid. Good luck to him and the Gophs, he'll be a nice player for them soon.

Held back?

I went to school and played with him 1st-7th grade and he was always a year behind me, Where did you hear that? He did skip a grade, he went from 8th grade in Breck to 10th grade in Ann Arbor. Summer school if I can remember correctly.

Although he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I assume that you think he got held back because he was of age to be a year ahead of where he was. I don't hink he was ever held back, I think he just started later

some i think might make it would be the following

1) Jarrod Hummel.......great size and physical play
2) Jack Hillin.............good offensive skills at the point
3) Tony Mosey..........gifted offensive player

and last but not least.....
ME!!!!! if the NHL goes with replacement players i'll go as far as to pay them to let me play<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

Hillen v. Hummel

by MNPuckster27
It depends on the rules when the NHL resumes. Under the old NHL style, Hummel would definately have a great shot. He is so big and physical, and a good stay at home, 3rd or 4th style D man for an NHL team. It sounds though like the NHL wants to open things up and get a lot of the clutch and grab and physical play out of the league, and open it up for skill players only, definately giving Hillen a better shot since he is not the biggest most physical player at D.

Can't Miss this year with:

Peter Mueller
Ryan Stoa
Brian Lee
Nate Hagemo

Also I think from last years draft class, Wheeler, R.J. Anderson, and Brian Gifford from Moorhead will all have respectable NHL careers, and probably some others....

I'm gonna say Peter Mueller has a great shot at making it to the NHL. Like a previous poster said, he verbally agreed to play with the gophers in 2006, and has been in Ann Arbor Michigan playing for the big hockey school up there. He has so much talent and I think he is a definite NHL possibility.

Ryan Stoa is also another choice of mine.

Peter Mueller and Ryan Stoa are both very impressive players and have a great shot at the NHL. I agree with you Jaguars0405.

anyone creative enough to come up with a name like he has must be a can't miss player. if his brain works that hard in coming up with a name that is just a friggin' copy of someone's name on here (i bet his boyfriend helped him) he must be a outstanding player with smarts like that in all.

hey SHAKOhater, think you can help get another post deleted?
