Zamman, maybe if you say Jack Hillen enough times on this thread he will actually win the award. Live on the edge, pick a non AHA Star.

Why would I pick a non AHA star? He is my pick, just stating my point. Both Hillen and Taylor played in the elite league their junior year, why not let them move on? It did not interfere with their education. They are not the first students to do this, in fact many seniors have done this in the past. Because I get so much flack, it must be obvious that everyone believes that Jack is going to win, they just don't want to admit it.......

Enough already!

"Because I get so much flack, it must be obvious to everyone that (Hillen) will win, they just don't want to admit it." -Zamman. So anyone that disagrees with you, really thinks you are right? Real mature, give me a break. Zamman, we all know you think Hillen will win. O.K., we got it. Can't you think of anything else to talk about?

Hey lets not make a joke out of this one. Who are you hockeyboy69? This year probably growdosky wins it.

I've seen john wood play a few times and he's a excellent player. I'd look out for him in years to come, he's got great hands and a unique "swooping style"

Ok people you are now crossing the line. To even assume something such as you are suggesting is absolutely crazy. I am not Hillen's dad or even a relative. I am not infactuated with him as pointed out. So just to make you all happy and allow you to plug your boys, I will only push Hillen on you one more time.
JACK HILLEN MR. Mr. Hockey

Nick Kemp from Hermantown should win; he has over 40 goals and is going to UMD... but of course they wouldn't bother looking at any Northern boys

DMarshallsucks, (nice moniker, by the way?), there are two northern boys, of the ten finalists, if you would have read the first post. Go Greyhounds, Phil Johnson isn't a finalist, so, obviously he can't win. And who in the hell is John Wood anyway!

john wood is a sophomore forward from spa. He's got great size matched with talent and smarts. The only problem with him being mr. hockey is he's not a senior. I'd say he's second best soph in the state right behind flynn. I suggest you all get out to see a spa game next year if wood doesnt transfer to shattuck to improve his skills on the prep team.

what number is Wood on SPA?

#17 watch for his swooping style in the left wing lock position. Very well positioned and is an offensive threat whenever he has the puck in the slot.

No offense, but I didn't think he was that good. Surely not the top soph in the state or whatever you said. Were you joking or what?

SPA

Wood is definitly up there for forwards alogn with dave miranowski. ON the defensive side Will Debruyn is SPA's strongest D. Look for wood and debruyn to be SPA's top two players next year

Where are we going here?

This topic is Mr. Hockey, who will get it? I believe this refers to this year, especially when there are already topics regarding Mr. Hockey 2006 and one about an all-state fresh./soph. team. Get on the right thread! Also, dangler06, are you really serious about this John Wood? I notice SPA finished 9-17 this year, including a loss to Mnpls. Washburn. Wood finished with a whole 4 points for the season, and you make the comment,"the only problem with him being Mr. Hockey, is that he's not a senior." You've got to be joking, right?

It is quite obvious that MR. Alex Goligosky should get the nod!
After all he is an unbelievable player who can take over any game from his defense to his offensive ability. He is like all previous posts have said a great kid and a heck of a student, but what is really impressive is that he has his team ready to go and is a great unselfish leader. Being a husky fan myself it sucks that he will be a gopher but I definitely can see why they would want a young man of his ability and character on their team go hawks ... go alex .... and to some extent good luck to the gophers as you are getting one heck of kid...

GOG VS. GOR

I WATCHED BOTH GOROWSKY AND GOLIGOSKY PLAY AGAINST MOORHEAD AND GOROWSKY PUT UP THE NUMBERS
WHILE GOGS WAS PRETTY IN CHECK. ALSO SAW KELLY. GOROWSKY IS THE REAL DEAL, A BLUE COLLAR HOCKEY MACHINE.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... sketboy at: 3/3/04 8:55 am

Grand Rapids could have had Bobby Orr playing that night against Moorhead and he would not have been noticed. Every great player needs a team behind him for support and the Hawks didn't show up that day. Golligoski has skills and vision that we seldom get to witness in high school hockey. He will be chosen and remembered.

Kelly

It seems like I already chimed in on this, but it must have been on another thread. I've seen quite a few players on the list, but I have not seen the Blake kids or Goligowsky.

Hillen and Gorowsky are good players, but I'd have to go with Hill's Sam Kelly. Every game that I've seen him play in, which is about half a dozen, he's made a play that dropped my jaw. He scored a goal against Centennial in the Christmas tournament that may have been the prettiest one I've seen all year. IMO, he's a more creative player than either Hillen or Gorowsky plus he works hard. And I felt this way BEFORE Tuesday's White Bear Lake game.

top three

well guys nobody seems to be talking about who will win it. Tom Gorowsky form the Number one team in the state that pretty much beat all the top teams this year. yes i know his chances went down a little with the wisconsin signing, but he is the leading scorer on the number 1 team. no brainer. i know they play in a horrible conference and he does get a lot of points against the monticellos. but he is the best player no doubt.

next year i like (wheeler-breck) (rj anserson centenial) (and the d from wayzta #20)

im out

MUCKER, i know im going against the thread but i would just like to say that SPA didnt loose to Washburn, and Wood had 13 points, sitting out 5-6 games with a seperated shoulder and other injuries
