orono vs. warroad

i think it will come down to one thing- the goalies. any team can win if their goalie plays good enough. look for a low scoring game, like 2-1. only one thing for shure, its going to be a good one.

93x Predictions

3 out of 4 guys on 93x picked Warroad in this one, including Randy Shaver. I'm pretty sure that none of the guys have seen either team play though this year.

It was funny though to hear them talking about picking up Warroad "Gals" and Josh picking all the teams in the tourney that had financial support. He picked Orono in this case, but I would have to think that Warroad has more money for their hockey program than Orono does???

As for the Warroad ladies looking to party, is there any truth to this legend?

I'm sure hockey is more important in warroad, but Orono kids are usually filthy rich....

Being rich in hockey

lol what does being rich mean in hockey? Want the answer, not a damn thing, Only thing it does is make them have alittle nicer equipment. Money or not Orono is going to get hit over and over again tonight and then in the end hit again. Warroad will run the the table and whip the orono boys 6-2. Not going to be pretty but Warroad needs to make a statement and what better time, Folks we're back, now whos next??

orono is one of the poorest schools in the state, like 5th poorest. the only people that are rich in orono are the old people. as for next, tommrow @ 12:00 verse SCC or Hibbing.

really?

WAR-WAR--Where did that come from?? I have'nt seen your cheerleaders but at least they are for thier team. Did one or more of them turn you down??? Are you sure your a Warrior??? That was a hard hit against your school, community and team, (whitch they are a part of) Maybe you should relocate if it's that bad.(please do'nt move down here)

Orono is going to see what i mean at 7 tonight, I was at the practice talking to coach before they took off for the cities. This is as intense as I've ever seen him, even when i played for him. This means alot to him to go for the back to back titles. I said it once and i will now, first Orono 6-2, then whos next?? Hibbing?SCC?? It won't matter, remember that 7-1 win over Hibbing earlier Hibbing?? Here we go again!

Do the Warroad player have to live there?

During the off season do the players go place else to escape the adulation and hysteria they create because of their charisma and success. I mean do they go to LA or South Beach to hang with Britney or Anna? I hear from a very reliable source that it is like a fishbowlfor these poor guys.

Not sure what your meaning here but this is how my team used our summers, We had 2-3 hockey camps in the summer then summer wieght room work outs. Hockey is life for alot of kids here, does it give us a small out look on the world? Maybe you could say that but It sure showed on the ice. Hockey isnt life as we all know but at that age it was close to it for all of us.

hey, that's a great reply. seriously, i love that perspective and that is why i respect and love schools and teams like warroad.

minnesota hockey would be nothing, if we didn't have kids that found everything they ever wanted in the game of hockey. i for one, hope to spend a weekend up in warroad during the winter just to take in the history. it's a great town and they are a great representative to our state.

Thanks for the reply, It you happen to make it up let me know I'd be glad to show you around, Warroad takes alot of shots for things that none of us kids can control, some fair and some not. At the time it never bothered me but to hear the recruiting talk does to some points now. With a brother comeing up next year its hard to hear at times and thats why I will always stand behind them, but don't get me wrong, I love high school hockey in general. As for tonight I can't wait, this time of year is special around here, I can't wait to see it, only wish I could still be out there and apart of it all! Go Warriors bring it home boys!

it would be a complete honor to be given the grand tour of warroad by someone that grew up in the program. i will never forget the mystique of seeing the larry olimb and axelsson (sp???) take on edina at the old civic center as a kid and thinking how far away warroad seemed from the cities. i guess it is. anyhow, our tradition wouldn't be the same without seeing the black and gold come down from the north to invade st. paul.

i hope they stumble tonight, but wish them well any other night. forget about the recruiting b.s.! it's not even worth the worry. good luck tonight. i hope to see a great game.
