hopefully ER would have made it out of that section that they are in. If they didn't, maybe they should move down to single A and compete at their level. All they do is hack and slash like a junior B team. Any real skilled players? instead of some 6'2 goons?

hillkid88, i would rather win one championship than be second place eight times. but if it makes you feel better, keep on saying that. no one remembers second place, all they are is the first loser.

4thlinevarsity, maybe you should change your name to 1stlinejv, cause apparently with your hockey knowledge, thats all youll ever be. and the funny thing is you probably would have been cut from ER's jv. summer leagues!

This isnt even the best Centennial team to come. The sophomores are a much deeper and more talented class then this years team. The Centennial youth teams have handled the Elk River pretty easily over the past few years. Last years Bantam A's pounded them by five or six in all four games they played. This years Bantams have also handled them pretty easily. Centennials Bantam A team was 16-0 in districts this year. The best is yet to come for the Cougars.

4th linevarsity is right, ER is not all thatgood this year. They have lost to alot of weak teams and are a very cheap team. The only reason they held in there with centnenial in the schwans cup tourny is because they are a cheap team and dont have alot of depth, especially comparedt to morehead and centennial. My prediction for the Er Morehead game, 6-2 morehead.

What sense does this make, Jesus? Elk River doesn't have a lot of depth-and that's why they kept up with Centennial? The only reason they lost against Centennial is because they committed powerplay suicide. That, and Centennial's a pretty good team.

And just because you saw Passions, doesn't mean you met Jesus.

clutch and grab

Clutch, grab, and interfere, the new style of hockey in North America, is why the game was close. Anybody there watching it could see that. Smart decision by Sarsland and it pays off all the time for teams with less talent. I personally think it taints the game but the powers that be at all levels have bought into this style.

clutch and grab????

this is the style of hockey everywhere buddy....and its a part of the game, elk river is by no means a cheap team, they have like one player over 6 feet tall and he doesnt even know how to skate..but somehow they are cheap huh? and about your tony sarsland comment....he is god!

Bbengal,

I never said cheap those are your words. I said Sarsland was smart to have that game plan. Furthermore, you restated what I said, that the game has become clutch and grab.

Little touchy aren't we????

Cheap? Its called physical. As Centennial proved in the pre-season scrimmage that they can't take physical hockey. It is a shame that ER won't be playing them because they won't get by Holy Angels and/or Wayzata.
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

6 sophomores from last years bantam team are on the Centennial varsity. Lots of juniors on the JV team that, unfortunately, will not play varsity hockey. Is Elk River in the Bantam A state?
I didnt think so. Did Elk River beat Centennial this year?
I didnt think so, not at the High School level, Bantam A level or Pee Wee A level

elk rivers bantams havent been to state since 99-00. yet the high school program is always one of the best in the state. centennial has a good chance of winning it this year, but they are not even close to the program that elk river has been in the last decade. its your first trip to state, and only time will tell if the cougars have what it takes to make it annually.
