Wow, Mike Fink is a phenom. At the end of the game when Maple Grove had its 2nd or 3rd line out I believe, he literally skated casually around the rink, like a stroll. Then bats a puck out of the air, and does it again!

As for Maple Grove, they had a select few that played extremely hard, showing heart. But, there were a few that just didnt seem to care: You could see it from the stands. Tim Wolford skated on the 3rd line for some reason in the middle of the 2nd through the 3rd period; Anybody know why? Maple Grove just didnt seem to get anybounces there way.

As for the control of the game, it seemed to me like Maple Grove carried the play. They would cycle in the offensive zone and get a shot. After this all happend, Hopkins would almost always spring a player off the weak side and create an oddman rush. They scored every goal like this. Great coaching job for Hopkins.
This was overall a great game to watch in my opionion, its a shame that Maple Grove peaked at the wrong time. Congrats to Hopkins!

#7 Brooklyn Park Bantam A beat Wayzata in overtime last night for the chance to play Hopkins (again). Who woulda thunk? As you may recall, it was BP that sent Hopkins to the backdoor in the first place. Me thinks with a healthier Hopkins team it will be a different story this time.

I agree that this game will have a different outcome. Hopkins got some key guys back now, which helps psychology and getting the lines back to normal. should be a great game !!!!

The boys played really well the other night. all the way from the net(a bit shakey at the start but pulled it together as the night went on) to the front line. We had a metric ton of crap to work through to get this win, most of wich was an amazing Maple Grove team who work their butts off shift in and shift out. It's too bad they are out. Ive got a lot of respect for them as a team.

It was a great game to watch/Coach.
