For many years, the Classic Suburban/Metro East teams all played each other twice. A few years back the conference schedule was adjusted so that now the only teams HM, STA and Mahtomedi play twice are each other. This has been beneficial fo everyone. The weaker teams don't have to get blown out by the powerhouses twice a year and the top teams like Hill and St. Thomas get to schedule more non-conference games against other top teams.

Mika 13 Duluth East 0. What on earth is going on up there?
Has Karl commented on the state of East? They’ve clearly trended downward so I’m curious to hear what the rumblings are. With a decent pipeline, how confident are they that they’ll get back on track. Even Marshall looks better at this point.
Their first mistake was running Randolph out of town.

I'm not saying Randolph didn't get screwed, but to say if he were still at DEast they'd be a top ten team is ridiculous.

Who said anything about being top ten? They don’t need to be a top ten team. Just be a respectable program at least. DE is a laughing stock right now.
