Guessing some HS coaches may have reigns on some of the D or need them to match-up against other top guys. EL is a free for all really.Stang5280 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 3:44 pmA few corrections to your otherwise excellent list, WM.WestMetro wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 10:27 pm For perspective

Top Uncommitted Elite League Dmen scorers in Junior or Senior Year

Uncommitted HS kids in NAhl camps

Roed,
Levendowski, -ushl (Wisconsin commit)
Galatz
Murr
I really like DelGreco, who is masterful with the puck; unfortunately he is tiny, though still quite young. Galatz seems like a kid who should be snapped up by a college program in the near future.
Some of the names on the D scoring list are interesting, since they aren’t big offensive factors on their HS teams (Yakesh being a prime example).

Who will be next to commit ?
The Gophers getting a commitment from Ryan Chesley might have had something to do with this "flip". And they are already stacked at D with three guys playing for the World Junior team...
Bingo!! I think someone saw the writing on the wall.MNHockeyFan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 9:31 amThe Gophers getting a commitment from Ryan Chesley might have had something to do with this "flip". And they are already stacked at D with three guys playing for the World Junior team...
Correction. That's the dreaded #1 RATED Gophers.Stang5280 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 3:22 pm For a brief break from the never-ending (albeit necessary) COVID debates, here are some recent recruiting events.
Jared Wright (STA) to Colgate
Tim Piechowski (EP ‘18/Bismarck) to St. Thomas
Jake Ratzlaff to Wisconsin football
Congrats to all three, though as a hockey fan I would have like to see Ratzlaff remain on the ice, even if it would have been for the dreaded Gophers.
I don’t think you’ll see much movement until the start of the commitment period for rising juniors on August 1. That class is stacked with guys like Plante, Shaugabay, Clark, and Moore who will have their pick of offers right off the bat.
I think you will have to wait and see how all the transfers are completed and teams know what/if they have needs to fill. With the NCAA granting an extra year of eligibility due to COVID, it has become a free agent frenzy in D-I hockey.Stang5280 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 12:40 pmI don’t think you’ll see much movement until the start of the commitment period for rising juniors on August 1. Most of the current juniors and seniors who have yet to commit will probably have to prove themselves in juniors before offers are forthcoming. Perhaps a Cam Boche or Landon Parker receives an offer from a mid-tier program, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Yeah, that is going to be an issue for the next few years. With the NCAA granting an extra year of eligibility, there is a glut of players already in the system, and it creates a trickle down effect through the junior ranks and even into high school. Quite a few committed players are parked in juniors for an additional year until college roster spots open up. Those USHL and even NAHL rosters are going to be tougher to crack for current seniors and juniors.BSUBeaver wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 12:56 pmI think you will have to wait and see how all the transfers are completed and teams know what/if they have needs to fill. Good questions. If Coach Blasi has a plan to merge his new recruits into the team's returning roster to the best of my knowledge it hasn't been made public. But if I had to guess I'd say most or nearly all of his new team will be comprised of his new recruits and players now in the D1 transfer portal.ThatMNHockeyGuy62 wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 9:00 am Curious for those in the know on the college side of things.. with a lot of new recruits committing to University of St. Thomas, some or many as soon as next season, what happens to the existing D3 players? SOL? Chance to “try out” or play their way onto the team?
