Depends. If he leaves his helmet or skates I think they are fine. Just his shin guards and that's a problem.

For the record, you've told me EVERYONE is gone! LOL

They can’t score, they struggled in 1AA after the 1 vs 8 game and needed outside help at that to score. Hastings having to kill 7 power plays led to the shot disparity more than skill. South was shut out twice in St Paul, even a #6 seed in Austin could score and win a game. I can say with pretty much certainty Hastings would have scored a goal.

Hastings returns their goalie and top player along with some depth, hopefully they will play next season.
Truth. Puzzled why the various computer models seemed to rank them so highly this year (in the top 5-10 range for much of the year).

Only had to kill 6 penalties, and Hastings doesn't return their top player, Freiermuth was easily their best player and he is a senior. If you think someone other than Freiermuth was their best player, you don't know hockey.

Jensen, Langefels, Wilhite, Jones, Rudrud…

They return: Batchelder, Holt, Mittelstadt, Langenbrunner, Blake, Brown, Luloff, Langefels. That's a lot.
Perhaps part of my lack of optimism was I'm still digesting Hill's beat down of EP a little more than a day old. They do have a good group returning and it will be interesting to see who steps up to fill the void. Batchelder, Holt, Mittelstadt, Langenbrunner, and Blake would be a good top line. Steeves and John Mittelstadt were such difference makers on that team. John could have easily been a Mr. Hockey finalist with Steeves.

Wondering why everyone is so high on GR? They will be a good team but the lose Clafton which I would say was a big reason for their success.

I would say most will write them off coming in to next year. They do need to find a goalie, but I think theyll be better than this past year. They had a lot of underclassmen get some good ice time last year. If you look at last years team 90% of the team had little to no varsity experience.

There seems to be a pretty strong correlation between how your top bantam team did 3 years ago with how they do as Juniors/Seniors.

So looking at the Hub's 2017-18 rankings, Centennial is #4. And they've added talent since then. Have they lost kids off that roster, too?

Cloquet is #7.

Clafton Is a major loss Goaltending is a going to be a very big issue for this group always has been. They are most likely going to be a top 10-15 team range just like this Season GR is going to most likely have a hard time scoring , I see a lot of 2-1 3-1 score’s again. They are good enough to get to state and could do damage but this group has never won a big game. If a certain player leaves early though they lose 60% of the offense, Grand Rapids is a nice decent team outside of Jack no real super star’s but with that said two Junior forwards have major upside that could potentially turn into super stars.

I know I'm biased, but I am a little skeptical of Warroad for next year. Losing Slykunsky is a big blow to the team.
EGF will now have Parker as a senior, Ausmus as a Junior, and Panzer as a sophmore.
I think I would put EGF ahead of them for next year, but as most people have said, it is way to early to be thinking about this, (even though I am  ).

Well, CG is a great kid and a skilled hockey player with options. He’s playing in the all-star game this week, but I haven’t talked to him for a long time. I doubt he’s coming back to Cloquet, and I wish him the very best! Walsh is another great kid. Zach Tyman will be the senior goalie next year, though. Zach is very talented. He missed his entire junior year with injury though. And Kyle Abrahamson is another very nice goalie. I doubt Walsh will be going anywhere. But if he did, Tyman and Abrahamson are more than adequate.

Kids have so many options these days. I guess I’m not surprised when boys leave early or transfer out anymore. With that being said, I’m starting to enjoy and appreciate girls high school hockey a lot. They don’t leave early and or transfer out nearly as often as boys hockey players do. I’m about the team a lot, a lot more than the individual. High school football and high school girls hockey seem to be much better at their team sport than boys high school hockey in 2020. Boys high school hockey will always be my favorite. But you see, I have other options as well.

Also, Reid was a Junior this year if I'm not mistaken? Thanks for posting this thread. Even though it's way too early, it's always fun to speculate about the future.
Miller is doing before and after next season.
