Does LVN have a goalie they can pull up from the JV squad?

Personally I think jv goalie is better than 2 varsity goalies. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play Saturday.

At last report from Ftp reporters , Mike Randolph was still having an intense team meeting a half hour after the loss, and keep in mind CEC lost its best player Koby Bendet to NAHL this year.

Do you know this coach jeff wright Sats?

He claims LV lost 5 D1 players so according to you they have 5 more. Why did they lose?

What kind of defensive game did the LVN forwards play?

No clue who he is....they did lose 5 d1 players. Nick and jack poehling, jack sadek, Jake mcneely, Ryan edquist.

This years team has 3 d1 commits right now...Ryan poehling, max Johnson, Keaton Pehrson....Henry Enebak also has multiple offers so just matter of time before he is committed somewhere...

Guess I'm not sure what you are asking?

Just reading the Twitter machine from some other LV Rube, and you said last year team will have at least 10 commits so that leaves 5.

Im asking nothing, just love listening to your insight or overlookingy

Last years team had 8. Once Enebak commits that will be 9. Couple more kids getting interest. Not to mention altavilla who is playing d 1 baseball had a lot of d1 hockey interest.

There are a lot of angles to the LVN/Farmington game tonight.

#1 - Lakeville Goaltending
- It was not great. The first Farmington goal was lazy defense. Farmington forward had an open net. Second goal was through traffic on the PP. Not on the goalie. Third goal, the puck came out of a pile in the slot to the dman and a shot from the point went in. The two goals in the 3rd were bad. Both should have been routine saves. The Farmington forward had a defensemen between him and the goalie and threw it on net in both cases.

#2 - Lakeville Offense
- The top 2 lines dominated for the most part when they were on the ice. The lines were switched up throughout the night, but they controlled play. The D pinches often and it's effective. I'm not sure if I'd change the offensive attack at all. They've been dominant in all 3 games so far this season. They do head out of the zone quickly when the puck looks to be heading out of their defensive zone. A little more defensive responsibility might help with the goaltending situation.

#3 - Gavin Enright - Farmington Goalie
- This kid was the difference tonight. He made several huge saves. His reactions were quick on the cross ice passing of LVN. There was some type of collision in the 3rd and he was down for a while but remained in the game. He looked just as good afterward.

#4 - Refs
Lakeville North had 2 goals that were disallowed. Poehling batted one out of midair into the net. It was up there, looked good to me, but the refs called it a high stick and no goal. Could have gone either way. LVN had tons of pressure on the 2nd one. The goalie was out of position and the puck squirted over to him. He covered it, LVN poked at it, and it slid into the net. The refs said they had blown it dead. It was a quick whistle, but probably the right call. Still both could have gone the other way.

Based on the results of the Stillwater and Farmington games, I'm not sure what the fix is for Eigner. They've dominated shots and puck possession but just haven't scored enough goals and the goaltending has been shaky. Keep running the system and hope the goalies gain some confidence, switch to a different goalie, or try to play more defensively? I wouldn't change the system. It's impressive.

What's wrong with Lakeville North, Sats? Goaltending, defense, lack of a finisher, or are they just a weaker team than the last couple seasons?

Read eazy98s synopsis above. It's pretty much dead on.

Taking nothing away from Stillwater or Farmington as they won both games but LN dominated possession, SOG, neutral zone play, turnovers, etc. still lost. When a goalie let's up over 30% of shots in game in changes everything. Puts an immense amount of pressure on forwards to score and d are Almost forced to pinch and hop into play. Which in turn can lead to lots of odd man rushes other way.

Boys don't need to change anything in my opinion. I really think they will have their hands full with Rapids Saturday though as they are a team that can skate and their forwards are much better than Stillwaters and Farmingtons.

Not to change the subject, but does anyone have an update on the young man from Farmington who was carried off on a stretcher during the JV game? Hope he's ok.

Would recommend moving the freshman out of a top six role. No doubt he's a good player, but he's getting bounced around like a ping pong ball which limits his effectiveness. Needs another year of physical growth. Move him into a supporting 3rd line role and the top two lines would be even more dominant.
