Anyways back to the game tonight. I think this will be a great game and has the potential to be the best game and only battle of today's sessions. Its the classic depth vs one great line scenario that has gone both ways in the past. In fact just two years ago Lourdes was seeded and had the depth when they ran into and lost to a one line Hibbing team (A. Johnson and N. DeCenzo). While last year they were a one line team and got smoked by a much better and deeper Hermantown team. I haven't seen East Grand Forks play all year and am really looking forward to seeing how they match up with Lourdes. However I got to go with my Eagles in this one in a close battle, with Funk and Samuelson having BIG games in their fourth and final trip to the X.
Eagles 4
Green Wave 3
Go Eagles!
Sorry I didn't read every post on this thread, but
'Which team is the one with the depth?'

Actually I believe it's supposed to be pronounced LOORD. No S on the end

"East Grand Forks coming out of the northeast corner of Minnesota"
Huh? Where's Duluth, then? Michigan?

Lourdes wins the worst socks award. The giant mock knee pads are intimidating.

Best game of the day so far. East Side has the nod in my opinion. Be real surprised to see Rochester come back in this one. Would love to be surprised by the way. LOVE this time of year. See you all tomorrow for the taters and the dogs. Sounds like a good lunch???

I thought I recognized Coach Oliver!
He still looks like someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley after midnight.

Was my internal shot clock off in the 2nd period? Said 5-3? Seemed low? After 2nd period, I thought flood gates might open. The Red Wing goalie played great and gave them a very good chance to win. The Century and Winona boys were quiet all night, but a well tipped fling to the net and we had a game! An exciting finish. Speaking of that, seems to me it was EGF that takes a timeout with 4 seconds left allowing Coach Gill the chance to draw up a clever play that worked well? Speaking of that off-side call, isn't that intentional when a player refuses to tag-up trying to get a whistle? Face-off should have been in LHS zone?
Perfect 5 for 5 and the opportunity to extend all-time scoring lead at Mariucci.
