I see that they moved the final in this section to the 6 o'clock game.

They flip flop every year.

Those are just a guess based on common section opponents, they are not official. The section 4AA seeding meeting is on Sunday morning.

That must mean we'll get 'er wrapped up in just three periods this year.

I would describe Section 4AA as mediocre overall but somewhat volatile. There is a strong possibility that there will not be a Hill-WBL final, and it's not just the black and orange that might not make it that far.

Don't be silly. It'll be WBL/Hill in the section final.

You willing to back that up? I'll put up two tickets for Mariucci.

Heh. Heh heh. Heh heh heh.

It appears to be not even a guess, just the teams ranked by W/L pct. If you check out how he has the other sections, they're "rated" the same way. It's not that he has WBL rated fourth in 4AA, they just have the fourth best overall W/L record. So it doesn't mean much.

I think it will be close with MV and Roseville for the #3 seed. Looks like MV finished 5-3 vs section opponents while Roseville was 2-4. Mv also ended up higher with strength of schedule.

I see it as followed
1) Hill
2) WBL
3) MV
4) Roseville
5) Still
6) Johnson
7) NSP
8) Tartan
9) Como

6 and 7 could flip flop

I think this is what the final seedlings will look like. Johnson should be seeded ahead of N St Paul. The Govies won durring the reg season and have had a more difficult NC schedule.

* Dickman would get to play against his buddies from his youth days @ MV

I feel pretty confident the winner from this section will be playing at Mariucci Satruday morning.

We drew WBL:

http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/page/show/46 ... ason=66599

I would say we have a shot (the team isn't nearly as bad as some people may think, and a few of the kids are USHL and DIII talent, and Dickman has potential to go DI - he had 61 points [42G, 19A] in 25 games playing pretty decent teams this year and was 3rd in the Tri Metro behind only Opperman and Andrle) but with an 8th grade goalie I just don't see it.

I just don't believe they should be in the section at all since they barely have enough kids to even fill the JV roster. Oh well. I will be in attendance on Saturday afternoon at Aldrich. Could be the death of one of the most storied HS hockey programs in the history of America. May the late Herb Brooks be looking over us.

It would be just like those dang Govies to upset WBL just to deny H-M the pleasure ending their season.

Pioneers for Govies, baby.

WBL is over-rated.

http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/news_article ... _id=462459

They have 7 losses to non-top ten teams. No wins against top 20 teams.

I would not be surprised to see a team other than WBL face Hill Murray in the finals. And after watching Hill destroy Moorhead last Saturday - good luck to the other team.

North St. Paul played Hill to a 4-5 loss earlier in the year.
