Actually, speaking for myself, i just wanna see the wording and try to better understand the situation. i have not concluded a thing about anything.

i'm in the educating myself stage, is a short way of putting it. any help would be appreciated.

Unless prescribed for one of a very small number of FDA approved indications, there are going to be problems.

The fact is he was in possession of prescription medication for a medical concern that is nobody's business but his own. Unfortunately, being in possession of the meds made him ineligible to compete. As a result, he and his family have had to deal with tremendous disappointment. There is nothing to be gained through speculation or the spreading of rumors. He has returned to his high school team and is eligible to compete without restriction. He and his family are great people. Give them a break and let it go.

I agree that the specifics of this situation are private but the debate is public, has been public, and should be public. If a steroid was administered to or discussed or even encouraged by a parent with a 14 or 15 year old for the sole purpose of improved athletic ability, its open for debate.

In this particular case, nobody administered or encouraged the use of a steroid or any other drug to improve athletic performance. If that is the topic you wish to discuss, perhaps you should start a new thread dealing solely with that issue?

I'm going to endorse this. Discussion of PEDs can (and should) continue, but let's start a new topic and leave this individual's case private for now.
