I've noticed a lot of people picking the Dawgs to finish 1st or 2nd. I have them advancing because of their easy bracket (I think Yale will choke and I didn't want to pick all #1 seeds).

#9 UMD - 1
#8 Union - 0

After 1

Union 0/4 PP
UMD 1/1 PP

The first was filled with some interesting after-the-whistle calls. Lets just say they didn't go the Dawgs (WCHA) way. Reiter played well, he was the difference. The nations best PP was shut down.

#9 UMD - 1
#8 Union - 0

After 2

I've lost track of the PP's. There's just too many. Something like Union 0/7, UMD 1/3. The Bulldog play-by-play guy sounds disgusted. "They don't call anything in the WCHA and they call EVERYTHING out here." Reiter continues to surprise. I think the shots are close to 22-15 Union.

UMD definitely shut down the best power play in the nation, with 9 chances and they don't score, that's incredible.

Actually I miss read your pick. I thought you picked with your heart, sorry...my bad. I actually picked DuLuth to beat New Hampshire in the first round of the frozen four, but for some dumb reason I picked North Dakota to beat New Hampshire in the championship.....
I too hope Duluth wins the whole thing....the sue...or whatever they are now don't need another...

WOO Michigan wins 3-2 in OT after a goal review went about 10 minutes. Closest call I've ever seen.

Well basically the puck was thrown in front of the UNO net with one Mich guy and one UNO guy there. It bounces around a bit and the goalie ends up halfway in the net with the puck between his pads. He swings his legs around and the puck squirts out and is batted down the ice. Refs stop play to review for about 10 minutes. On the overhead it is pretty inconclusive but they got this lucky endzone view of it which clearly shows the puck BARELY (and I mean barely) over the line. You kinda knew it was in the net but it was between the pads and the ref called it no goal at first so they needed conclusive evidence.

And btw go CC. I need Michigan to make it to St. Paul.
