No, actually, it is "Wisconsin State Championship", a forum (which you chose to click on) which is the "MN HS Hockey" board which falls under the "HSHockeyForums.Com" site. Seems to me that people who like to talk about HS hockey read and participate. Sorry if your MN sensibilities were offended by any talk about Wisconsin. Time to get out of Moorhead for a few hours Spud... there's a whole world outside your little town.

Got outa town once - thought I died. Then realized I was just in Wisconsin !

YEs and they also beat Rochester Lourdes..... and the #18 WI school beat Duluth Marshall who is a top ten MN A team..... big deal..... no one is saying Eau Claire could beat Eden Prairie or Dultuh East and I don't even think anyone was "comparing them" nor is anyone comparing WI HS hockey to MN HS Hockey, I think someone just asked how the WI state champ (Wausau) might stack up in MN HS Hocke, so that is asking how 1 or two teams might do not how everyone would do. I do think Wausau and Eau Claire could've competed somewhere in the MN AA top 20 though, they were good teams with some top end skaters and two fo the best goalies in the state so they could have hung.....

This question is stupid. The first nono-Minnesota team to even be seen in the national rankings is number 14 and you have to scroll even farther down to 23 to find a WI team.

Sorry, you can't compare any other states to Minnesota. :o

No one asked that question....... but your link proves my point. If you take out the NJ, MA and MI schools that ar ein the top 20 you are left with 19 MN schools and a WI school, Eau Claire as the top 20 for MN and WI. Meaning Eau Claire could've competed in the top 20 somewhere just like I said above. Thanks for adding some data to prove my point :D

Some very good players in Wisconsin High School and Tier 1 hockey. The Team Wisconsin teams, both 16U and 18U, were very good last fall. Are they made up entirely of Wisconsin High School players?

Any links you can share to team web sites with rosters? I looked around for Eau Claire's but couldn't find anything. We're spoiled having Hockey Hub, and the Forum, that provide a lot of information for us fans.

Team Wisconsin is made up entirely of WI High School players. You cannot play winter Tier 1 and play for Team Wisconsin. In fact Team Wisconsin plays the winter Tier 1 teams in March (after the high school season and HS state championship is over) for the WAHA State Championship and the right to represent the state in Central Districts and then possibly the MM and mm national championships. I actually have often wondered and don't quite understand why the MN teams in the Elite League don't allow their players to participate in the "after season" opportunity (except for Schattuck of course). Anyway, here is the Team Wisconsin website, hope that helps:

Also, here are a couple of other Wisconsin High School (and Tier 1 ) hockey centric websites that have alot of good info on teams, stats players:

Wisconsin Prep Hockey (has every WI HS teams rosters, records, skeds along with articles etc...):

Here is the direct link to Eau Claire Memorial's home page:

No offense to the Wisconsin hockey fans here, but I watched the Wisconsin State Hockey Tournament and I don't think there is a team in Wisconsin that could beat an Eden Prairie, Duluth East, Edina, Hill Murray, ect... In fact, I think they would get destroyed. These MN teams do play a gauntlet schedule and finish with 20+ wins. So Eau Claire Memorial would have been ranked Top 20 in Minnesota. So what? Last year Wisconsin's top team was Notre Dame and they weren't even in the Top 50 nationally. Minnesota always dominates the Top 20 teams in the US every year. The top Wisconsin teams would be good Class A teams in Minnesota. Until a Wisconsin team plays and beats a top Class AA team, to think anything more at this point is foolish IMO.
