I'll make my prediction on this one. If AHA goaltending shows up, I think they'll take it in a 4-3 thriller. Either way it's going to be an interesting game. Get there early.....

Any word on if they are pre selling tickets? Zanman?

I just searched and saw that the seating capacity is around 1,300. No idea if that is accurate, Zanman will have a much more accurate number on that one. I suppose whether it fills up tomorrow depends on how many students from each school attend.

Yes 1800....Yes tickets are on sale already, not a lot sold at 9:00 pm tonight but the word is not out there yet.....
I will again say get there early and park at Veterans and walk over. The lot was redone and you can no longer park behind the facility. There are 4 ft snow drifts on both sides....

Oh the name is ZAMMAN, not zanman....

If Edina lapses on defense as they did against Hill in the holiday tourney
this could actually get interesting.
If they show up with their A game on - AHA wont have a chance.

**Any word on this one yet?

Wow! Wish I were there! This Edina team has been the Cardiac Kids so far this season. I think Burnsville and Eagan were close games too.

aha edina....

edina not sharp for most of the game. they really didn't show up in the first period. the second they played much better but only managed a PP goal late in period.

The first 12 minutes of third they were off its game until they got the second goal. then they began to play better. however at that time it appeared aha was tired also.

take nothing away from aha. they have some excellent talent. the better players are just too young at this time though and they haven't really jelled yet. as the year progresses they should improve greatly. they need to clean its game in its defensive zone.

up front they were double shifting #26, but by middle of the game he was gassed. i didn't think that was necessary, they have some good talent and depth up front.

in another 3 weeks they have the potential to make some huge strides which could be very concerning for every opponent.

nanne didn't play for edina. not sure why....

AHA rolled 3 lines the entire game until the final minutes.
#26 was not gassed. He played well. They needed to win a draw and defend
Their own end in the last minute. Neither happened.
AHA played a great game but Edina was just a tad better in the end.
Great game!

My impression of the program exactly. We read on here about these great players they have, but a great 9th or 10th grader isn't usually going to dominate players two years older.

They seem to be chronically young because the pitch to attract players is that they are good enough to play Varsity when they are young.

I went to a game at Xcel when the little Reilly kid was playing. Yes he was good. He also was the size of some Pee Wees and that makes it hard to accomplish much.

Didn't the young Bianchi kid have the goals tonight? Well done!

gassed........................

26 is great player, his younger bro will be much, much better though....

he was tired by mid game but still battled. yes he played well, can't say he didn't. just not necessary to play him so much.

no question about winning a draw and defending, but after edina got the second aha could no longer defend.

good gutsy performance by aha.

One other problem was AHA lost a real good D-man late in the game. If he is in, maybe different outcome. Still real fun game and good crowd.

On the young Reilly, he has moved to SSM and has grown and gained weight. From what I heard a few weeks ago, he was scoring a point a game on their best team.

Apparently Edina was looking past this game - working only as hard as they think they need to.
Sounds like AHA played with great heart.

Anyone know the story on the Labate kid (AHA)?
I thought his father was the Eagan youth association president?.

Eagan has a great team this year. I don't think they will meet but my opinion is that Eagan would best them.
Not that they need him but he would have been a nice addition to Eagan.

Both Labate and the Hurleys left the eagan program a while back. You add them to the current Eagan team and they would be almost untouchable.

What a game last night! Holy Angels was up 3-0 and when Everson scored on the PP I knew Edina was going to make a run for it. After it was tied up and AHA went up 4-3 with 2 minutes left I thought my prediction was going to be right on. It looked like Holy Angels lost a couple players at the end and the Hornets capitalized around the net. It was a very impressing ending for Edina. Reminded me of the Burnsville game they won this year. Section 2AA playoffs are going to be great...

I wish aha would have played as physical as they did against Cretin. I thought the young guys got intimidated and became impatient with the puck.
Who was the defensman lost late in the game?

I believe two of their D. Sophomore #2 and captain #3
