What the heck is going on over in New Prague, The top 3 on the list were'nt even the top bantams on their summer or winter teams!!

Posted: Tue Nov 30, 2010 2:14 pm
by observer
No Bantam A team this year so I'm sure some of the bantam aged players opted to play HS as opposed to Bantam B.

This list means very little. Look it over. Small towns and small high schools have number shortages and are inviting bantam players
(most 9th graders) to play HS to save the JV coach his job. Bad decision by the bantam players and a bad decision by the high school coach.

One single solution. Recruit Mites like crazy so it never happens again. 30 new Mite boys this year is the goal in New Prague. For youth associations that have 100 5 year old boys in town it's possible. Some towns don't have 30 5 year old boys.

Some of the 9th graders are special players. Most are not. It's circumstance not talent.

I would have to think there are a number of other schools that could also be in the position with 9th graders playing JV and moving up and down

frosh

urban iceman, don't act like you don't know what is going on in NP, it is all a big family affair and that name has been hurting that program for a few years now. Looks like a power struggle went on and the bantams took a hit. Question: how many Witts does it take to coach a team and sit on a board?
