My understanding is that rule applies only when transferring from another MSHSL member. Obviously, Shattuck is not an MSHSL member.notahockeyguy wrote:his parents would have to move to be eligible to play varsity next year at Maple Grove
Maple Grove will be good, but Hill-Murray is the team to beat next year.mghockey18 wrote:Maple Grove will be the team to beat in the 2011-2012 season. Not just in 5AA, but the State.
I agree. I wasn't talking about next year, but the year after.longrebound wrote:Maple Grove will be good, but Hill-Murray is the team to beat next year.mghockey18 wrote:Maple Grove will be the team to beat in the 2011-2012 season. Not just in 5AA, but the State.

Looking at the final season stats for them from last year, they lose 6 players who were in the top ten. By the way, Hill helped out Edina last year as Tonka was the better team.slapshot445 wrote:so the defending state champs (Edina) have hardly anyone leaving and they aren't the favorite to win state next year? doesn't sound right.
No. If they lose it will be due to not being able to perform in pressure situations. It has been Maple Grove's problem since the school opened.mclovin wrote:Maple Grove could have a good team it is the coaching that really lacks. They will lose games do to the coaching not the players.
You make my point, the coaches can't handle the pressure situations and so they can not pass on to the boys what is needed to win the high pressure games. It has been the same head coach since the school has opened.mghockey18 wrote:No. If they lose it will be due to not being able to perform in pressure situations. I completely disagree, but you are entitled to your own opinion. This same Head Coach has been to the State Tournament before with a different program, so you cannot say he has yet to accomplish reaching State.mclovin wrote:You make my point, the coaches can't handle the pressure situations and so they can not pass on to the boys what is needed to win the high pressure games.
