elliot, what are your thoughts?
I agree, any one of the top 4 could win this, although, I would say the top 3 have a much better shot. All three are pretty equal with a slight edge going to Moorhead. So getting #2 over #3 is huge here.
I thought Roso was the better team, but based on the season I would have put Brainerd at 2nd.
One coach told me that if Bemidji is healthy they have the best shot.
I am not sure if they are entirely healthy but everyone is playing right now.
My money is on Moorhead.
If Bemidji beats Moorhead in the semis (assuming they both make it), then I am with Bemidji.
Brainerd traveling to Roso will be difficult (assuming they both make it).
One coach told me that Bemidji should be a 5 seed. I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. Bemidji colored glasses there ...Elliott
Not on my part, I pick Moorhead (with my head) (Bemidji with my heart).

I'll talk about section 7A and say that Ely got SCREWED. Yes it is the lower half of the seeding and they don't have that great of chance but come on. 2-1 record against Silver Bay and they get seeded above Ely. It is all politics and it should be based solely on records not opinions. Ely gets screwed every year. I also think that Hibbing should have gotten the 2 seed because they beat Virginia in a great game and had other wins. Other than that the seedings were pretty good.

You are damn right Brainerd got screwed! There is no justification for this based on the season results. The teams that voted Brainerd the #3 seed have not played them this season, with the exception of Bemidji. Moorhead played both Roseau and Brainerd and their coach ranked Brainerd ahead of Roseau. I guess it doesn't matter what a team accomplishes during the season, a no-name team can't compete with the history of a Roseau, even if they beat them. It's too bad for the kids who earned and deserved to have the opportunity to play the semi's at home.
How do you know who voted how?
"Better" team, in your opinion, or not, the head to head game ended up how it did. A better team would've won. I hope Brainerd makes it to state.

East got jobbed.
No they did not get "jobbed" East lost to the Elks 3-2 that is head to head which puts East at 2. It did not have to go any further than that in running the comparison between Elks and East.

Hibbing got the ROYAL screw job!!!! Hibbing beat and lost to Virginia. IFalls lost and tied them. Doesn't make a difference just don't see how they get 3rd.

Brainerd didn't get what they deserved.
Brainerd will just have to go to Roseau and beat the Rams there then. This is what happens come playoff time. If Brainerd stands a chance to win the section, they will have to win some tough games....so be it.

So if it doesn't make a difference then they are you being such a poor sport about it? Talk about a sore loser. This wasn't one person's decision, it was a groups decision. It might have something to do with Hibbing losing to Duluth Marshall. Calm down. take a breath.

I suppose this could be the refs fault too??

They're probably right where they should be.
Hibbing is 1-1 against both Virginia and Int Falls but lost to Marshall.
Int Falls is 1-1 against Hibbing, 1-0-1 against Virginia, and didn't play Marshall.
Virginia is 1-1 against Hibbing, 1-0-1 against Int Falls and beat Marshall.
Really, I'd say they're lucky to be #3.

The 5AA bracket you've got there is last year's (they still haven't taken it down).

Is anyone going to head up the pick 8 game for A and AA. I think O-town Clown had something to do with it last year?
