Wolfpack, I would suggest you look up the meaning of "forum". It is a place to express opinions and I have mine. I really don't care if you agree with me or not.wolfpack33 wrote:Rams, I suggest you know what you're talking about before posting. If the kid has anything, it's work ethic.
I think you're missing the point. With his talent, Tanner should be the best player on the ice every time he steps on it. He isn't all the time. He doesn't just have bad shifts, he takes shifts off. I'm not talking about how much he skates during the off season or even in season, I'm talking about what I see during games. He needs to work as hard every shift like he did when he was a freshman and he can go as far as he wants to.wolfpack33 wrote:he's been skating his bag off summer after summer for the last 5 years, which is more than almost any other kid can say. who are you people that say this crap?
The best athletes, thats who.whockeyguy wrote:Work ethic????? I wonder how many juniors in high school have this?
He has the talent to go farther if he desires, nobody questions this, why doesnt everyone just let the kid grow up and mature a bit,
DL lost to Fergus Falls once, tied them once, lost to Crookston, and lost to Fort Frances, they have a few other ties..... trust me budy, DL's season this year and Little Falls' five seasons is nothing to compare. The JV team from DL would likely have almost the same record as the Varsity. I realize that in your universe, hockey is not played outside of the twin cities, but try to fathom for a second if your wonderful Caditiots were playing against all JV and Bantam teams....this is what teh Lakers' schedule is.HShockeywatcher wrote:We had a couple years where 1 or 2 players at a little school just north of St Cloud carried their team, with a schedule just a tad more difficult than that of Delano's to lose less than 20 games in 5 years (including the postseason).
What is different in this situation? If he is really as good as some on this thread would have you believe, shouldn't his team be doing a little better?
Huh? Their JV team is just as good as the varsity at DL? Yes, I requoted it. So, you're basically saying the Lakers have a ridiculously easy schedule, some people are saying this guy is amazing good, not carrying the team to victory with their easy schedule and somehow that doesn't agree with me 100%?defense wrote:I realize that in your universe, hockey is not played outside of the twin cities, but try to fathom for a second if your wonderful Caditiots were playing against all JV and Bantam teams....this is what teh Lakers' schedule is.

Little Falls have the 71st ranked schedule by Pagestat and Detroit Lake has the 127th. Yes, it is different years, but if you actually look at the schedules, you'd see the Flyers is difficult.
