Thanks for the update Harley. That's probably a good way to do it considering there are only 3 northern teams.

Thats my order at this point but i do have bias ties with lakeville just to get that out there right away
@Bragenrights, Might as well take Blaine out of that mix, 95% of their players do not give a crap about winning so they will go nowhere after league play.

So your saying only 0.85 people on the team give a crap? That's not even a whole person, that sucks.

At times its pretty close to two or three people out of the whole team so yes.....it does suck....better game last night with the 1-1 tie vs tonka, now they just needa get more shots per game and they could turn things around.

overratedorhated I think you need to start using the 48 hour rule. Now you're saying you're team is back in the mix, and two days ago you were saying count them out, they don't care. Maybe wait a day or two before saying anything next time.

No love for the Cougars? 1st @ Schwann Cup, Edina, and WBL tournaments. Heading up to Duluth next week. Tied Burnsville, split w/ Edina, and beat Tonka. Played pretty poorly against a good Wayzata team that took advantage.

You live too far from Edina, tonka, and wyzeta to garner any love, that coupled with the fact that you probably have a couple of hitters on your team makes you sort of Persona nongrata around these parts. Do not even suggest that a team with talent can also have hitters on it or you will really rile them up.

Very true, very true... Centennial is "that team from the North" that everybody in the SW loves to hate. They do bring some physicallity to the game. But they roll 3 solid lines and are pretty good in the nets too. Makes for some exciting games. They play Tonka and Wayzata in pool play in Duluth. Stay tuned....

There's a new setup for state this year guys. Metro will have 7 teams going in this year instead of 6.

With only 3 outstate teams MN Hockey has decided that only 1 will qualify for State this year. (From what I've seen, Duluth should be the favorite there.)

The 7th spot will go to the winner of a game played by the top two seeded teams that are losers of the games for the M4, M5 and M6 seeds in the regional.
Harley
I was on the metro hockey league website and they have the brackets up. It says nothing about their being a 7th spot played for the state tournament can you point out where this is going to be and when it will be played?

Here is my predictions.

1 Wayzata
2 Burnsville
3 Edina

4-7 if there is 7 metro teams is gonna be wide open and come from who comes to play on the night they need to win. It is a very tight group in the standings and think anyone can beat anyone on a given night.

There is no disrespect for the boys from Centennial from the West side of the Metro.

No doubt the Cougars will be competing in State for the championship. They have an outstanding tournament and league records. Right now I have them as the number 4 team in the Metro based on league points. Mathematically, it will be hard for them to move up any further than that. If the Cougars win their 8 remaining games and get all of their FPPs they would end the season up with 58 points. Edina and Wayzata could go .500 the rest of the season and they would be above that; however, there is a slight chance of over taking Burnsville.

Points aside, Edina, Wayzata and Centennial are playing the best hockey right now and IMO should be the favorites for winning State.

Having said that, I'd give an advantage to Wayzata and Centennial because they have proven in tournament play that they know how to finish and seal the deal. No other teams in the State have shown that ability.

Good luck Cougars!

Don't count out tonka. They knocked off centennial tonight. But, they need to play consistent in all of their games.

Tonka showed that they can close the deal too! Centennial looked horrible at Duluth. What's up Cougars?

centennial

i wouldn't call them horrible, it was just centennial being centennial, IMO.

in the tonka game they led 2-0 at the start of the 3rd and then they went out and took a lot of penalties, which they have done all year. tonka made them pay with 2 power play goals and ended up winning.

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say the wayzata game was a fluke, but good teams do lose big now and then. wayzata did the same thing to tonka in january. the butcher job on the wayzata player was bad. watchout, paybacks are a biach.

they must have played pretty good against ft williams in beating them 3-2. tonka appreciated the win!

"MY" most likely to go to state

1. Edina
2. Wayzeta
3.Tonka
4. Centenial
5.Burnsville
6 Ep
7 Lakeville
8 WBL
9Eagan
10 Elk River
11 Blaine
12 Stillwater
13 champlin
14 SLP
15Wessy

Note i understand you guys are going to question Lakeville and wbl

Heres my opinion on both Lakeville probibly had the hardest league schedule in the league tonka twice edina twice wayzeta twice Plus our team is 6-2 in our last 8 with wins over Elk river burnsville blaine OMG fort francis and superior and losses to duluth and E.P

They have changed line mis season and improved greatly both goalies are playing at the top of their games lakeville has played wayzeta within one goal twice 1-1-1 against tonka

Wbl is a big team who has under-achieved lots of talent could easily beat any teams rated 6-15 anyday of the week

I liike your ranking system and agree with you on the top three of them. I think your top three can sort of switch around and mix around depending on the weekend and the day. Where they are ranked is pretty much irrelevant, top three or 4 and below. Once you get down to the #4 spot it really doesn't matter, they are pretty much cannon fodder. I do know one thing though, state is gonna be interesting. I think that there are some very strong teams that are going to be in it and on any given day for any given game it is gonna be decided when the last buzzer blows. This is gonna be fun to watch.

You really shouldn't try and defend yourself by saying you got kicked off a team for drinking, or by bad mouthing your teammates. This is also a thread about JGA, just an observation.

Yo b7 (BINGO!):

We ain't therapists and are definetly not here to listen to your personal problems.

Also, ganstee15 don't play B. He's one of the top JGA players in the metro.

P.S. - There's some JGB forums that you can go talk smak on. Leave the JGA forums to Gangstee, Braggen, hipcx and co.

Plankton and his pals would love to tear you up...
