Sad Day For High School Pucks.
Notice, the Schwan cup is not listed as an exception. Is this really that hard to figure out people?

Well thats obvious smart ass.... The schwann cup is usually an exception to "SEASON PLAY' since its a tournament

Maybe they will move Minnesota High School Hockey to Dallas. Then we will be like...how'd we let that happen? OK...just beeing sarcastic. I really enjoyed watching the games on TV. I hope we do find a solution so they can be aired again sometime soon!

The fact that it's a tournament has nothing to do with it. It was listed in the FSN schedule just like every other game. Seeing as how he said every game on the FSN schedule is cancelled with those few exceptions I don't see how you would assume that because a game is in the Schwan (only 1 n) Cup it's different from the other games on the schedule and is magically not included in the cancellations.

I'm sorry but it's hard not to come off as a smart ass when people ask stupid questions.

Yes, Oh-Hater-of-Roseau, we all know that you are the arbiter of intelligence and class on these forums. I think that mj79 was being gracious when he used the word "smart" in relation to your diplomatic manner. I might have chosen a different adjective.

I just checked the electronic channel guide for FSN on Dish Network. They are usually pretty good at updating schedule changes and they do have tomorrow's Schwan's Cup games listed. So, maybe the tournaments will be shown, while regular league games are cancelled. Or, maybe not.

Wow, mj79 was the first to get hostile and evreyone is beating up on roseauverated. I got your back roseauverated. The only reason people take the other side in the argument is because of your name.
Back to the subject, it said all games except hockey day minnesota, so wouldn''t that mean no schwann cup? I think it's pretty obvious.

They are also still showing up on Comcast's guide - just set the DVR to record both.

Hostile?? lol didnt know calling someone a smartass was "hostile" But whatever.. He was coming off as a jackass insulting ppl in the previous posts , THATS why ppl "beat up" on roseau .. Are you really a hockey player?? You sound like a little cry baby

In my "ignorant" defense , The reason I asked was, because like the person above stated, my Directv usually pulls this stuff pretty quick off the tv guide menu, And mine is STILL there.. SO your assumptions on me being stupid , because I actually have 2 different sources telling me different schedules and programming, Is pretty Obviously "ignorant" on your part.. If you thought everyone who was asking was so stupid, why did you even bother to post ?? Ah yes , Your nikebauer , I can tell by SN alone you love attn

I don't know where you got ignorant from because i never said that and I'm going to igonre everything you just said. The person who started this said that every game was cancelled so I'm just going by what he said.

OK guys all arguing aside have we gotten any confirmation of the canceling of the FSN schedule aside from the first post? Not saying I don't trust the OP, but it would be more believable if we had confirmation from a more credible source, like FSN.

OK guys, I just checked Charter's listings. The only HS hockey listed for FSN is on Monday at 3:15, STA v. WBL in the Schwan cup. There is no HS hockey listed from then on. Sorry, it looks like we might actually have to go to the X on Friday.

Maybe my direct is slower than others then.. Still shows fsn live starting at 12:30, and the HA/ Tonka game at 12:45 and STA/WBL at 3:15.. Bummer tho it might not be on.. Im assuming theres gonna be some boring repeat of some outdoors show if its not on.. Oh well Dumb move agin FSN, congrats

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys but i have directv as well and though it says the games are still on the schedule i talked to a member of the Minnetonka team and they told me that their game was not being shown on TV anymore so unfortunately they wont be broadcasted, which is a real shame. I too had plans of enjoying some hockey on tv this week but will now have to make the trek downtown to watch.

Comcast still shows it as on today as does today's Strib but I have to go with RinkRat and assume it's not.

Anyone know if the audio will be broadcast on the internet?

It may or may not help, but it certainly wouldn't hurt for all of us who want HS hockey back on to give FSN North a phone call and let them know how we feel.

It was also announced on the local TV morning shows that both games would be broadcast today on FSN. Could this whole thing be a big hoax that we have all fallen for or is FSN definitely pulling the plug?

I find it strange that the Strib, TV stations and Comcast/Charter are all showing it as being still on today but we are all assuming that it is off due to postings on this site.

Has FSN ever confirmed that they are done with all broadcasts but the "hockey day" ones?

I just heard from a friend of mine who works at FSN and he confirmed that all FSN broadcasts of HS games other than the 1/7 and 1/23 games are cancelled. He didn't know the "official" reason but said they were having trouble getting sponsors to help cover costs.

If it was for Financial reasons, How the heck are the T-Wolves still on the Air then?? FSN could tell the head office they are going to the TWolves game but head to the rink for some HS Hockey.

Alright, so I just called that number and they told me that today's games are cancelled and will NOT be on. She also said she did not know about future games and that she was waiting for a new schedule.

"I am sure you gave much thought to dropping Minnesota High School Hockey from your schedule.
But since watching high school hockey leads me to college hockey which leads to watching pro hockey, I guess I will stick to CBC Hockey Night in Canada."
