There are a lot of teams with 4-5 losses in the list that have faced extremely tough competition. Having a 10-1 record doesn't mean much if you have played mostly low B1/high B2 competition.

Also - a number of the teams W/L record is based only on league games. There are a lot of scrimmages that aren't recorded properly. That can boost the record on many of the listed clubs.

I agree - this is far from perfect, but can you argue with the top 5? I think the bottom 10 will jump around - but I suspect the top 5 will be somewhere in the hunt for the entire season.

I think you have to look at this more on a standpoint of groupings of teams...I think the 'Top 5' teams and I will throw EP in there at 6 are all extremely tough teams. then maybe you look at 7-15 as teams that have had some nice wins over ranked teams, but also have fallen to other ranked teams. Then you take 15-20, most likely are teams who were not ranked and have made an impression. I think the rankings are pretty solid at this point, and i have seen 13 of the 20 teams play.

My son's squad has played against both of these teams. Centennial Red is clearly the better of the two. Chisago has a couple of nice players, but overall they are pretty average. Prediction: Centennial Red by 4 goals.

5 Eden Prairie
6 Edina White

8 Centennial Red

19 Shakopee
20 Grand Rapids

I would say (at this point) ER is #3 behind #1 Edina Green and #2 OMG Crimson. Edina is posting a 16-0-0 record. The rest have all experienced 1-2 games where they didn't show up (upset). OMG only gets a slight edge in head-to-head over ER.

Edina Green and OMG Crimson square off 12/31 at the "cake".
