did foesch play varsity for st. francis last year? i can't say that i noticed any players except for the beniks and belisle standing out at all.

He's no stud yet, but he has as much potential as any other 15 year old. Keep working at it kid.

To the Observer its your opinion! Im sure your kid is the # one 94 in the state maybe the country! To the exiled one. He was only 14 in August I do not for see him getting a chance to play college hockey tell at least 18. Time will tell. I wish all the 94 age group well. I guess he play'd JV and Play'd some varsity as a 8th grade due to no Bantam A team.

Not here to belittle a player, but Observer is right he would be LUCKY to crack the top 100. Compare him to the '94 players from Eden Prairie, Wayzata, Edina, Benilde etc. and there is no comparison. Maybe down the road just like any other player if they work at it

To Observer: He's played with and against all the edina, eden praire, wayzata, jefferson and other programs and holds his own. He doesn't just play winter hockey. He can compete with any of those players and has. I suppose he should move and leave the area in order to compete! If your good enough you will get noticed. Also, I know its hard to believe that their are other programs that can produce hockey players other then the lake conferance. All the other programs in the state should just shut the doors if you don't play in the big schools. Thanks for the warning I'll let everybody know they should quit hockey because of were they play and theirs no chance. Keep observing

Effort- Step back and take a deep breath. Not sure how you are related to Zach but you need to be a little more realistic. The post was titled "Best Freshmen". I have seen him play plenty, and while he has potential to be very good, he is not at that level yet. Realistically he would struggle to make most varsity teams. As for 94 level, tough to put him in the top 100 right now. But things change and he is a good kid who works hard so I would not bet against him in the future.

54fighting: I have no relation to Zach. I've seen him play against alot of very good players at the 94 birth year and I've seen him do very good. I'm very realistic and have a very good hockey back ground. I know this kid has alot of potential to be a top end player. I also know its a long road. I just cant stand closed minded people that think you have to play in certain areas to be noticed. I hope the best for Zach and for ALL 94s. Keep working hard.

ok i have to throw my 2 cents in towards EFFORT i think what every1 is trying to say is ...its not where you live to get noticed but its where you play to be better example kids in saint francis dont have competetion like kids who play edina,ep,bsm,breck totino grace,saint thomas im sorry but its true that that those schools 3rd lines are just as good as almost all schools first lines!!! its because they are seasoned they skate year round against the best players in the state since they were 10! very rarely does any kid who skates out of inner cities or for a really good school get any attention. benik was sick last year and it took him til towards the end of the year to start getting any real attention!

i know this doesnt have much relavance in the post, but one amazing freshman from nd is already playing in the elite league. Keep your eyes peeled for lucas johnson in the future, once he develops his size he is going to be even a bigger stud for red river.

4 points against Kennedy or 6 points against Greenway (2 former great programs) are thrown out of the evaluation. When you can pad you numbers against teams like Cooper, Kennedy, Meadow Creek Christian, St. Francis and Chisago Lakes they kind of become an apples and oranges comparison. Oh yes stats out of the Missota are completel thrown out too
