Either way their hockey players not cheerleaders. I havn't gone this year so i wouldnt know about them this year, but the last few years its embarrassing. Not just that they are cheering, but they are HOCKEY PLAYERS. Maybe if they would put half the time into their hockey skills as they did in cheering they would be playing at state.

Its a group of hockey players that usually get knocked out in the first round of sections that all go to that section so they can cheer....Most of the time, but not always, some pretty lame chants and end up getting kicked out of the section anyways cause of their choice of language while they are displaying their chearleeding skills.

Not at state but I watched an Edina vs Holy Angles game earlier this year. HA student section chanted
"2,4,6,8, Edina chicks are overweight"
Edina fans chanted "We've got the score, We've got the score"
HA fans quickly came back with " Our SAT Scores are higher, Our SAT Scores are higher"
What's funny about this is that Edina routinely scores higher on their SAT's and ACT's than Holy Angels does. It is perhaps indicative of the intelligence at Holy Angels that they try and chant something to which they have no idea of their inferiority.

Welcome to Minnhock "Peanuts9." If your first post is going to be about trashing AHA's academic achievements you best be finding another message board to vent out on. It seems to be that you're insinuating that a public versus private education is better, which is incredibly arguable... You may be new to find out that this topic (public vs. private) is VERY VERY old. Thank you, have a nice day.
"Inferiority"... that's just so ludicrous I can't even stand it.

those sections are either 206 or 216. they mostly go for public schools and always chant against private.

I heard those chants tonight, they were great. So it wasn't a school up there? Just a bunch of kids? I know that the Blaine fans were in the corner.

I usually don't like these kids, but man, they were hilarious tonight. It's just too bad I can't repeat anything that they said on this bored. Except for when they said "Our school's free." That was great.

Not state but apparently at the Hill WB section 4AA semi's:
WBL: "REHAB REHAB"
HILL: "YOUR OUR DEALERS"
I'm not sure if that is 100% accurate but it made me laugh when I heard about it.

210 went after CDH very hard and I was loving it. 216 was getting annoying during that game but 210 was hilarious.

Which goes to show you the quality of the public schools....

Why don't the private school kids ever chant "tax payer's money" or "everybody's money" back to the public schools when they say "daddy's money"? Or is that not offensive? I'd think people would be happy these kids, or their families rather, pay for their own schooling. I just work with some republicans and they looooove their talk radio and they always gripe about public education costs. Politicians drive me crazy.
I haven't heard anything too creative this weekend. As stated earlier in this thread, some blatant gay or queer accusations, but those are pretty fundamental. And simple. Not too much other than that. Lots of "Why so quiet?" and "We can't hear you." That's about it. Maybe if they didn't force students to sit on polar ends of the X they could hear each other and have some more fun with chanting!!

In last year's section final, the Hibbing students yelled
"Daddy's Money."
The Marshall fans yelled back,
"Mommy's Welfare."
Not very nice of the Marshall fans, but it was something I hadn't heard before.

If you want to hear some brutal responses to the "daddy's money"-type chants, I recommend East-Cloquet. Though the East fans have toned back a bit recently, some of the things that used to be yelled at Cloquet...wow.

What's the problem with a bunch of kids going to watch the best hockey available and having some fun with it? Are you saying that students shouldn't cheer for there schools at sporting events? That's all this is, the students just get to pick what school they are from. Quit complaning, your efforts here are futile. 206, 210, and 216 will continue to be at the state tourny and will continue to do what they do and provide entertainment.
