Wow... clue me in as to who the team that is 3 goals better than Alex?? Lost to LF three times by 1 goal each time, lost to SCC by a goal and the worst loss was to Moorhead by 2

Its fiction, to demonstrate what the thought process may be before the coach votes.

So don't get all worked up.

With STA out of the X this year (thank you Mahtomedi!!), this will be a very interesting A tourney.

But, I would rank Warroad #2 in the seeding given their near-perfect season (only two losses). Here's my guess, but I am somewhat ignornant:

1. Little Falls
2. Warroad
3. Breck
4. Mahtomedi
I think Warroad is a nice choice but one of the 2 losses came to a team in the field. The #2 goes to Cathedral.
warroads record little better then scc how about the lourdes over scc didn't they whip them really good this year

But Alex only beat LOW, Bemidji, and Fergus Falls by a gaol.

So if I am the Warroad coach I might think that.
If I am the Breck coach, I might think that.

Seeding
1. Little Falls- Same argument everyone has heard all year... blah blah
2. Warroad- It is hard to put them here seeing that they lost to SCC, but they have a solid schedule and some quality wins over roseau, hibbing, orono, marshall and denfeld.
3. SCC- The losses to tech and lourdes were to much for me to put them ahead of warroad.
4. Breck- Have been racking up the wins, but since totino, they have had a mediocre schedule. Got shellacked by STA, but that was a long time ago.

Unbelievable there is all this fuss over who is the # 1-4 seed....it means NOTHING if you are 1 or 4! The other 4 are random teams! If it was like sections and #1 played #8 or whatever it would matter but it doesn't. And why worry anyways? If you are going to be the state champ you have to beat the second best so even the seeding 1-4 is actually meaningless because you are going to have to play the top seeds anyways. Before they seeded there was still a winner and a #2 in the finals. Whoever is ranked #1 might make you want to beat your chest and say "ya we are the best" right now but that means nothing either...it's after sat who is #1 not today...just ask STA they were #1 this morning!

It is just an absolute mess trying to figure out the seeds for this years tournament. I think the only thing everyone on here can agree with is that Hutchinson is the worst team in the field. And now I am just wiating for someone on here to argue that point just to prove me wrong.

Great! Thanks for further proving your lack of intelligence to me!

Little Falls will get the one seed BECAUSE of the fact that coaches will seed with their own self interest in mind..... You have to go into it thinking that they will probably end up at #1, and since you can't vote for yourself you are hurting your chances by giving any of the other teams the first place votes.

If I had to do it I would go....
1. Little Falls
2. Cathedral
3. Warroad
4. Breck

Nothing would surprise me... I can't see Virginia or Hutch or Lourdes getting a top 4. It will be interesting to see how they vote for the Zephs.

There are a lot of teams out there that will make for "tough draws" for any of the teams that are seeded

1. Little Falls
2. Breck
3. Mahtomedi
4. Warroad

Little Falls undefeated season; i dont care what your schedule is; undefeated season is a huge accomplishment allthough they have some high stakes to live up too as we saw the last time we saw an undefeated team come into the state tournament in Roseau and they walked out of the X with a 4th place finish last season..

Breck has been consistent all year. Nothing else to say bout them.

Mahtomedi... I know you all will be suprised that I have them above Warroad but as some people have said i totally agree Head to Head is huge is Sections and i dont believe it should stop there.. Mahtomedi just beat probably one of the most prestigous teams in the State of Hockey, STA. They are a force to be reckoned with. expect these boys to follow Ben Marshall to some amazing moments at state and remeber that Mahtomedi kicked off the season with a winn over Breck. So these boys could be put at 2 even but we'll see what happens.

Warroad tough to be a 4 seed with 2 losses but you lost to someone who lost to a 1A school in Rochester Lourdes, i aint knocking on lourdes but they just dont impress me they have one really good line that will be fine with the rest of the state, but the other 2 aren't very strong.

Louardes - Voigt who was suppose to be this amazing hockey plyer for louardes i went out to watch their game thursday night against Red Wing to see what all this hype was about and he is just like Tom Alexander of Mayo a lazy hockey player that has a good shot and loafs around the opponets blue line and then shows burst when he gets the puck. if i was louardes' writer i would start talking up #7 Brandon C. he's just a flat out hustler.. works every shift..

You know nothing about hockey if you say this kid is lazy! He works harder than anyone! I would take this kid over any other player in Rochester without a doubt! He works hard, sees the ice great, has a VERY quick release and works his butt off!

Not sure what game you wayched?

I am pretty sure Sioux fan would agree with this as well as anyone else knowledgeable in Rochester or that has seen lourdes play.

I think that Tyler Voigt is a great prospect and he will not be outworked.

Check out how he did in Advance 17's this spring. He plays both ends of the rink and can forecheck very well. He needs to be more vocal and help his linemates by helping them find him. Cole Peterson is an animal on the wall and never gets outworked. Taylor Funk is very strong on the puck and has a great wrist shot he tells me he is going to really dig in the corners so they can put these three games in the bag and go out on top.

These kids are good kids and good hockey players and are very good prospects. At Defense Senior Pete Spratte has great speed and a good shot he can become a Chay Genoway like Dman if he Decides to be a difference maker look out. Rory Vessel is an outstanding Sophomore Dman steady smart strong and a good shot. Nick Wylam has been an exciting weapon offensively and he really battles in the corners. He has a good shot and good speed.

Roth and Johnson have been very steady on D of late also.

They will show everyone Wednesday night. Lots of people will see what they can do. They will be smiling..

Brandon Chezick (Endless energy), Phil Bray (He will lite u up great energy and PK guy) and Charlie Hexum (smart good skates good strength and way above average shot) line may just show you folks a lot of good things too!!

And my favorite hard worker on the squad is Tim Bier Not pretty but pretty effective he may score a few.

Alex Kurth does everything they ask and does it well
Century has quite a few players that can play on if they want to get after it.

Jordan Martini, Drew & Tyler Anderson, Joe and Connor Faupel, Ryan Knoepke,
Cory Kautz, Nick Raeschler, Bill Grinde, and that Tom Lund kid can fly...
My favorite hard worker that never gives an inch is Cory Birkestrand...

Both teams have real nice Sophomore goalies that keep getting better every game I watch.

Tom Alexander (Rochester Mayo) is a big kid with great hands and if he decides to work on his conditioning he can be a very good player he made the final 52 in Advance 17 program.
