From Hockey Hub, only 25 games, so no playoff must be here. Sorted by PIM. Funny thing is in Central Lakes Brainerd had 30 minutes more penalties at the end of the season.

doesn't he hold the record for all time penalty minutes during his college days?(the coach)
For the game though, sartell got absolutely outplayed and outworked. Very cheap team that can't handle losing, but what can you expect. Good luck to alex against LF

But there is no excuse nor will ther ever be for the way Sartel played

The Hanson brothers film was a comedy act not a coaching tool.
To watch his boys play like that, plowing the goalie, buttending in the corners, intentional boarding, and still arguing with the ref over the
calls showed that their head coach doesn't deserve to keep his job.
I hope their AD has the guts to fire him!
I hope you are kidding about this. first of all, as an alexandria fan, i was dissapointed to see how both teams reacted to this game. not once during the game did i see one act of buttending in the corners or intentional boarding, so you should have actually been watching the game instead of munching on a hot dog. second, after the goalie was rushed, which was a questionable play, the alex players overreacted and began violently beating the sartell players. one player even lost his helmet and had it hurled back at him. at this point i was embarassed to be an alexandria fan. i also niotice that the referees were quite poor and should not be reffing this high level game.

Wouldn't be the first time an Alex player gets chippy.

You must have been watching a different game buddy. Hemingway did get bull rushed, and if you know anything about hockey the one thing that every team on the planet will do is protect their goalie. The refs called a fine game and they called what they saw. The only poor thing that they did was by not calling the game to prevent people from getting hurt. The sartell player lost his helmet and it was not hurled back. It was thrown to him in more of a respectful manner then you put it. I would be embarrassed to be a sartell parent, player, and coach in that situation. Alex handled themselves with class in regards to the situation that confronted them. If you are an alex fan you are not a very dedicated one or you were at the wrong rink watching a different game buddy.

first of all, i am not questioning the fact that hemingway got bull rushed, because he did. however what i am saying is that the alexandria players overreacted in a quite inappropriate manner. as i previously mentioned, the player who lost his helmet DID in fact have his helmet hurled back it him; if the alex players were classy they would have brought it to the bench or let the referee retrieve it. second, the refs did a very poor job calling the game. from what i saw, they threw the wrong player out of the game for charging hemingway. also, when was the last time you saw a fight occur where one player gets his helmet knocked off and another player get his chin split open and no penalties get called on the team that did it? i am going to guess NEVER. in the case where the players are protecting their goalie, the refs generally take one or two players for coincidental minors. instead they took only one sartell player and gave him a 5 minute major? i would have given a 2 minute charging penalty to that player and a 5 minute major to the player who tried to knock his head off, now thats clean hockey. buddy

Bullmaster is more like it.
Everything pondhockey said is true.
Sartel players ,coaches and fans should be embarrassed by their teams actions and attitudes at the game!!!

the alex player took the helmet, put it on the blade of the stick, then shoved/tossed it about a foot in the air and it slid to the sartell bench. the helmet was not hurled back. plus this is hockey, and they just got their goalie rushed, why would you personally deliver it to him? if anything though, take them on coincidental minors plus give the player who rushed the goalie a 5 minute major, but i agree with hockeymaster that they threw the wrong person out of the game for charging.

i think i must have been the only person who was watching the helmet get thrown back at about five feet in the air. but that is not important. the important part is that the referees should have been paying enough attention to get the right player, instead of kicking out what i believe to be a senior from his last game for doing nothing wrong. i would also say that at least one or two alex players should have recieved coincidental minor penalties for the scrum in front of the net. if anyone thinks that the refs did a good job, just look at that situation and reconsider.

I think Sartel has some very talented players. It just seemed like they were not very disciplined and took themselves out of the game. I would think they should be real condenders, if not favored for 6A next year, with LF losing Hanowski and a ton of Seniors and Alex losing Hemingway and a ton of Seniors. Hopefully they clean up their act. Alexandria , I feel, handled themselves very well with everything that was going on.

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't focus on playing hockey, and get caught up in acting like a goon then talent doesn't mean anything.
It starts with coaching, Sartell's coach had no business complaining to the refs. How many times did Sartell get called for smoking someone up high when the play wasn't there anymore. 3 times, Sartells D after the puck was lost, smoked Alex players up high with elbows and crosschecks. That is just stupid, bone-headed hockey. One of the kids did it twice, if I was a coach, the kid would have been on the bench the rest of the game after the first one. Alex didn't get caught up in any of the non-sense. They let the scoreboard do the talking. I am a neutral fan, and I would be embarrassed to be involved in the Sartell program.

Keep in mind that this coach is honored in the lobby of the Alexandria arena. Alex’s players look up to him along with other very notable alumni? What gives?
