I think WBL is going to be distracted with looking forward to Hill instead of the game they have going on today. If MV can jump them in the first I would like to see how WBL will respond when they are down.
I'll take MV in a very close game
2-1

Bears 5
Mustangs 2

I'll predict a pretty chippy game, so hopefully White Bear will know what's good for them and not lose any of their players for Tuesday the way Mounds View did for this game.

Yeah I hope Hill can handle all that momentum White Bear is going to have after crushing Mounds View.

Just poking fun at you B....seems the Bears didn't play so hot tonight.

I think it might have been mauricio, a really hard worker that can play on any line but dont quote me. Either way, without Osborne, Goldsmith, and Hau, those are some big important players that MV was missing and I am very happy to hear that they stuck with WBL. I understand WBL didn't have there best game but this is a big confidence booster for MV. Dose anyone think that WBL might have been looking past MV and forward to hill?

I can tell you from my observance and my pregame prep, that Osborne being lost was not a factor. The kid needs to lose some serious weight. Off the ice, he looks like Barney Rubble. I understand he may be a football player, but physically, he has a long way to go to be a hockey player. I don't have my roster in front of me for the spelling, but yes. marichuano???? sorry.. he is not who I was there to watch. he is # 34 of MV and he was playing with a cast on his hand.. He skates well... Goldsmith was a loss, but, believe me folks, for as much as WBL vs Hill is a rivalry, MV vs WBL is similar, although, my repots are that WBL doesn't feel that way. This is always a big game for MV.

I was impressed with MV intensity, despite having a goal scored within the first minute of the game. They didn't roll over. He doesn't have much of a future, except maybe division III, but WBL # 26 Hoffman is a no-nonsense player. I can't describe the intensity that kid brings and he plays as physical as one can be.

As with looking at other posted messages on this site, I do have to echo those that think WBL has a great student section?? Dang, they do.. It was MV home game and I was by the lobby, and all I coulod hear was WBL chants.

well said midwest.i couldnt agree more on every aspect of that post. especially the student section one :) but on a more serious note, hoffman for the bears is the real deal. a think alot of people were wondering why he was a captain and what his controbutions would be. he was a d player half the year last year and moved to forward twords the 2nd half and through the end of the season. I think coming back as a D player for the bears he has contributed well and played hard and is doing alot for this WB team

Hoffman is a good player but he cannot always keep his cool when he needs to. For instance in Fargo and Moorhead when he got a penalty in both games right at the end of the game which made the bears lose any momentum they had and disallowed them to pull owen for the extra player.

It is seen as a big rivalry for sure. A possible reason that it isn't as big for WB is because they always look at hill for that hockey rivalry since hockey is by far WBL's best sport. MV is a strong school in both boys and girls athletics in many sports and sadly not as strong at hockey. However MV does like to pounce at the chance to beat up on WB and it happens often i.e. Football and other sports. So whenever WB gets to play MV at hockey, they get excited.

also the fact that ryan wolter went to MV for his freshman year. a lot of kids know him, and last year it was a big game because we got to see the brothers play eachother..MV's danny wolter vs WBL's ryan.

Hoffman hasnt gotten a penalty in the last 4 games. but I know what you mean, hopefully he can keep this streak goin and stay out of the box for Hill
