The Blake schools website:
http://www.blakeschool.org/calendars/de ... TeamID=170 To this point in time is TBD, it does not have the teams involved and the starting times for Blake's Super Scrimmage which starts Saturday morning 11/22 at 7:00 am and runs to 7:00 pm at the Hopkins campus rink, I believe in years past they have posted the info at least a few days beforehand, always great preseason action at this event but it would be nice to have this info so you could plan on a block of time you wanted to go unless you want to spend 12 hours there.

Dont tell me that schools dont have any money just look at these scrimages,
Im sure most were lined up when Gas was $4.00 per gallon and we have schools going from the metro to Moorhead and Duluth, and then shools in the central part of the state going to the Canadian border, how absurbed just to scrimage 45 minutes at time, wow .

You know that the current economic status of the country has no bearing on hockey in this state.
$200 sticks
$600 skates
$200 for 1hr of ice
and the parking lots full of SUVs
What is a little trip up north going to hurt, there is always the 4 liner whos dad has money that will pickup the tab.
The season has started ENJOY.

Don't know the scores for sure, but I watched three this afternoon and may head back over again this evening for a couple more.
In talking to a few people, I got the impression that Virginia / Totino and Denfeld / Bemidji were pretty close and Shattuck pretty much demolished New Prague. Don't know what happened in the Andover / Totino matchup.
From what I saw myself, Bemidji took it to Virginia for most of their scrimmage - think it ended up 2-0, but I did miss the first ten minutes or so.
Shattuck played most of their scrimmage with Denfeld in the Hunters zone. Last I saw they were up 4 or 5 to nothing. I was told Denfeld scored right at the end when I was in the other rink so it probably ended up 5 or 6 to 1.
Virginia bottled up New Prague pretty good - a New Prague kid got kicked out for getting a little out of hand. Think it ended up 5 or 6 to 1.
New Prague and Andover were just getting started when I left.
Gonna try to catch the end of the Totino-Bemidji and the last two (Denfeld / Andover and Virginia / Shattuck) a little later.

Caught the last couple minutes of Totino-Bemidji - didn't watch long enough to see exactly how things went.
Watched a good part of the Denfeld / Andover game, it was pretty even from what I saw. The only goal I saw was scored by Denfeld.
The Virginia / Shattuck game was close, maybe a slight edge to Virginia in play, but Shattuck scored the only goal late in the contest. It ended up 1-0.
All-in-all saw some pretty good hockey considering its preseason.

Any impressions from the Moorhead/Tonka scrimmages?

I was at Virginia most of today, mainly watching Virginia. They lost to Bemidji and it wasn't pretty but I also noticed that Grivette Lustig Westin and a few others didn't play due to the amount of games so thats a bit deceving.

I heard from someone who was there that Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake beat Mora 4 to 1, beat Sauk 5 or 6 to 3 (one goal scored that the coaches on ice did not see), and beat Pine City 5 to 0. Did not get any other info however. Was anyone there to report on the other games?

Watched Tonka beat the Spuds 3-0. Breck beat em 5-0.
Think it's gonna be a loooooooong season for Spud fans (but the Tater-Haters will love it!).

Thank you!! Let me add to that - it's pronounced exactly as it's spelled! There is no 'field' in the pronounciation OR the spelling of 'Denfeld.'
