Just a quick summary of the peewee A District, Regional and State Tourney’s based on my understanding this October.

The four regional tourneys will played at the following sites:

North will be hosted by D12 in International Falls. D16 and D12 will send three seeds this year, D11 will send two seeds.

South will be hosted by D4 at Mankato (I believe). D5 will send three seeds. D1 would normally send three seeds, and D4 would normally send 2 seeds; this year there maybe an agreement that the third team in D4 may have a play-in game with the third seed in D1 for the third D1 seed.

East will be hosted by D8 at Cottage Grove. D8 and D2 will send three seeds this year. D6 will send two seeds.

West will be hosted by D10 at Anoka. D10 and D15 will send three seeds this year. D3 will send two seeds.

The Peewee A State Tourney will be hosted by D3 at New Hope (Is that where the first Mighty Ducks was filmed?)

For those interested, here is an update on the make-up of the Edina peewee A team. They have two returning A players from last year, seven players from their B1 teams (White and Green) and six players from either their squirt A team or other peewees. For the White Bear Lake fans, five of the 15-20 skaters in their scrimmage made the peewee A team (goalies not counted).

Just say it. Fire kids. I think they were Minnesota Squirt age and played what is called nationally a "minor" Pee Wee schedule.

Because the 96 Fire was mentioned, I checked the 96 Fire players from last year and found three of the Edina Peewee A players played on the 96 Fire last year. I also doubled checked the other players and have changed the number of B1 players that made to squad to 6. So the Edina team will have 2 returning peewee A players, 6 returning B1 players, 3 returning players who played for the Wisconsin 96 Fire last year, and six players from the Squirt A squad or other. I hope I got it right this time. Thanks O-townClown for mentioning the 96 Fire.

Looks like another good recruiting year for the PWA Edina Hornets

How does that work? Do the kids have to live in Edina...or go to school in Edina? Or are they Edina kids who just played somewhere else?

i dont beleive theirs much for rules in youth hockey when it comes to playing in diffrent places. it should be the same in hs hockey as well. to do a before and after in hs hockey you just have to jump way to many hoops in my opinion!!!!!

Just to set the record straight, there a 2 players on the Edina PWA team that played for the 96 Fire last year. Both kids live in Edina but chose to play for the Fire last year.

I have three kids, not two unless there are two kids with the exact same names.
