Since today the harvest has gone well, bales are flying into the barn at a .666 clip.

2 bales in
37 bales needed
55 bales still in the field

96 could be a task
Maybe a litlte much to even ask

They'll win less than that by just a few
PB likes the number known as 92

Since today, which was a Monday, the bales have been coming off the field at a .750 clip.

Kevin Slowey will be swinging the lead scythe as the Twins continue their harvest tonight. Who are these Indians? No Hafner, no Martinez, no Blake, no Sabathia, no Belliard, no Lofton, no Westbrook, not even a Twin killing Broussiard or Jody Gerat around either. I need two more bales by Sunday night.

With "The Republicans are Coming" now in 1st gear
This 96 fantasy will end in a tear

96 is too many for the Twins truck to hold
Too many bales that must be found on the road

If the trend continues, there will be a concession speech
30 bales out of town makes 96 too far to reach

5 bales in

51 still in the field

Packerboy is worried, he knows 96 is in the barn, his open negativity of my prediction is a form of therapy.

I could use some therapy, obviously , but if I do get some I will go to a pyscho the rapist like bluesbuddy always did.

96 is just too much
Especially when the bullpen has lost its touch

Since harvest season began last Monday the Twins have gone a rather pedestrian 6-4. I know, I know, at this pace 96 will be tough (even tougher with Breslow and Bass getting the call) but JFK once said, "we choose to go to the moon not because it is easy, but because it is hard". Well, the Twins have it easy, they don't need to go to the moon, they just need to play 18 Over From Today.

6 bales in
33 needed
48 still in the field

The good news is the Twins would've been 9-1 since Monday had I not gone to a game and Raul Ibanez would've had the runs on Mon and Tues instead of Dennys.

Anudder two out of three series win.

At that pace where would we end up?

Lemme see... carry the one... divide by the square root of the number of brain cells slappy lost in the sixties...

Add ChrisK's conundrum usage last year....

Thats it! 95

Thats pretty good math for a guy who hangs out in downtown Centennial.

But how about this for math: 26-31 on the road ,.456

.650 at home

24 games left on the road. 18 at home.

11 more wins on the road and 12 at home.

90 is the number right now.

How's about we split difference and say it's 92.5... round up and we've got a correct assessment of what it'll take...

The Twins will do much better on the road in the rest of the season vs competition that will be using September call-ups.

Mock my words...

Unfortunately, the worst of the the upcoming road games occurs in Anaheim before September. On the plus side, it sounds like somebody put a claim in on Raul Ibanez, so if whoever that is can get a deal worked out today, the Twins won't have to deal with him for the remaining 6 games against the M's... that would be a big help.

Speaking of Ibanez, I hope Gardy is paying attention to how other teams pitch to Morneau. Be a copy cat Gardy.

Lighting put my harvest on hold for a spell but it's good to see the harvest that really matters was unaffected.

Since Today, which was three weeks ago, the Twins are +7.

96 wins? YES, possible, but they need to win on the road.

13 bales in
26 needed
39 still in the field
