Interleague play is once again upon us, when the weekend arrives so will those panzy NL'ers for 15 straight games.

Since that trip to Denver the boys have nearly held serve with the AL, a win tonight will register a nicely balanced 12-12 run between the interleague action.

Tex (4) 2-2
Detroit (3) 2-1
KC (3) 3-0
NY (4) 2-2
BAL (3) 1-2
CWS (4) 0-4
CLE (3) 1-1

The skies should be clear, the ground will be dry, the tractor is all gassed up and all the joints have been greased. Just about time to get at it.

One more with CLE though.

The Washington National's leg of the NL Death March through the AL continues tonight as they will squat down and pitch a refugee camp in the Metrodome for the next couple of days.

So far our boys are all square vs. the NL but I have every reason to believe they can rattle off at least 11 of the next 12 before they return to playing the real men of pro ball.

Last year Demitri Young was a real pain in the backside for the Twins, hopefully Delmon took him out and showed him a good time last night.

By predicting Twins wins vs teams they're supposed to beat, you do know you have sealed their fate and they'll probably drop 5 out of the next 6? #-o

That fact that I'm going to all 3 games of the the Nationals' series ensures 3 of those losses.

I don't believe you have a history of affecting home games vs. the NL in a negative way but I do know you are no longer allowed in KC.

Did they give the distance of that Morneau shot on the broadcast? Good Lord.

MIN 4, COL 2
MIN 12, MIL 2
MIN 9, MIL 4
MIN 2, WASH 1

The W's are starting to accumulate now!

Livantana returns, the Bullpen delivers dos ceros, and Morneau goes long. That my friends is just a good 'ole fashion win.

Well they're wrong... that thing was still heading north when it hit the seat out there - it was a laser. I saw Mark Whiten hit one off the curtains up there once and that may have been the longest HR I've seen in the Dome, but Morneau's went past "curtain distance". Haven't seen him hit one like that since he put one over the fountains in KC & hit one onto Eutaw St. in Baltimore in '03 (I think).

I saw Jim Thome hit one off of Kent Hrbek's face (or was it Puckett's ?) on the curtain. That was the longest dinger i've ever seen in person at the dome.

FINAL

The Sweep is complete and as far as I'm concerned the Nationals are most welcome here anytime.

As sad as it is, Interleague play is already half over but our Twins are ripping along at a .666 pace against the NLers.
