BSM goalie over Cashettta, and drop Ness.
They usually just pick the two goalies in the championship. Willie Paul and Cashetta both had less than stellar finals, yet both were on the all-tourney team.
Congrats to all the players selected.
less than stellar finals??? Willie Paul didn't even finish the game!

shoot2score wrote:How does Ben Goff the leading scorer in the tournament with 8 points not make the all tournament team. They shouldn't make it so obvious that the tournament means nothing that you have to play well in the season also to be on the all tournament team.
The only reason people think Goff didn't have a great regular season is because he didn't play the first 4 games and played D most of the year. The kid is every bit as talented as David Eddy, if not more so. Eddy could make a strong case for all tourney as well with 6 points, tied for 3rd in the tournament.

It was a travesty that Ness made the all tournament team. I was at every game and he was pretty non-existent. The teams that beat them played physical, and Blaine didn't. If Blaine would have taken the body instead of trying to play the puck, they would have neutralized him too. I would have put Moser, Lee or Nelson on before Ness. Ness didn't standout this weekend at all.

Kangas went two and out 3 years ago, but had performances of 42 saves (3GAA) and 50 saves (2GAA)
so it can happen but not very often.

It seems that sometimes the all tournament team is picked based on who the big names were coming into the tournament. Although Ness is a great player, I didn't think that he had a very good tournament.
I also think Kohls could have been picked, I thought he had an outstanding tournament.
Not to take away someone else, just thought his game against the Rams was outstanding!

Kohls played a fantastic tourney. He wasnt on the score sheet (except for some empty netters) but he was probably the best PKer we had out there. I have never seen one player have that many shorthanded rushes on the PK in a while. Look for him to be huge next year, Mr Hockey candidate im guessing

They went 1-2, scored 3 goals in their last 2 games, had at least 6 PP against HM. They were lucky to get 2 players on all tourney team. McCarty from BSM played a lot better than Ness in this tournament. Landman had 6 of his 7 points in one game. Goff from Woodbury had 8 points and didn't make it. Take off the blinders!!!!

McCarthy took way too many penalties and was the game changer vs. Edina...BSM would have won the game..bone head play!! He is a good player but c'mon better than Ness, get real!!

Didn't say he was better than Ness. Just said he had a better tournament. No way Ness played well enough to be all- tournament.
