#4 got the game with a checking from behind. The Hutch player should be out of the hospital this week. Terrible neck injury, he is very fortunate. He has a halo attached, and will have for a while.

Like I mentioned before, Barrick only got a misconduct, and should play Friday night.

The winner of this game will be the program that has strong family ties to this guy. And that's the New Ulm Eagles.

i think it was adams that is out from litch..should be a good battle between the two teams. These two teams have developed a little rivalry over the last couple of years.

New Ulm is playing well. and their front line is clicking right now. The question is with that player out will the litch line be able to click and play as well together as they have recently? When New Ulm changed all of their lines vs fairmont it screwed them up. Right now i think the clicking and the familarality of the lines will play a big part in this game.

I also believe Wiggins will step it up and play well. He knows what he has to do during big games and shows it. Against Shattuck and Holy Family HS he stepped up his game against big time teams.

I still am very pumped for this game. I think the games the fans get into it the team plays well and feeds off the fans. I expect this game to be physical, fast and intense. Good luck to both teams.

the kid from hutch will be alright its a broken vertabrae it was a freak accident not like the litch player intended to hurt him and it wasnt barrick that got the misconduct it was Zac Johnson he throttled a player after hacking the goalie and i think its stupid that the player Adams got a game and a half for the hit especially in the section final game it was an accident its not like he has done this before.. but anyways good luck to the Dragons im rooting for ya...

Accident or not, pretty much anytime someone hits a player from behind and the guy has to be helped off the ice, refs will give a game misconduct.

Litch has a lot a good rivalries with Hutch, Willmar and New Ulm from this section. They have had a battle for years with Hutch in sections . Willmar if you attend home game you will understand (wild ). And with New Ulm I still remember the bench clearing brawl in 1995 with multiple game misconducts and news paper articles written on how intense that game was. My prediction is Litch wins this one 5-4 and Johnson will keep them in the game. I am glad to hear that the hutch kid is ok and that it is a wake up call that it is a game of many risks. By no means is a check from behind ok.

'95. I was going to bring that up. My cousins played for New Ulm around that time and a little prior. I was at all those Eagle games as a tot, but mom wouldn't let me go near the Litch fans (too vulgar). Fun times. Hopefully this game has some of that same intensity.

I think that the game will have that type of atmosphere. All you hear in New Ulm is talk about the game. The fans, unless altered by the dick worm, will go balls out

I think that fans will be crazy fri night and last saturday was just a warm op for them

Pretty lame excuse for only beating Fairmont 4-3 in OT. When New Ulm beat Fairmont 11-0 they skated 4 "screwed up" lines.
2nd and 3rd lines sure are clicking as of late.

I'm changing my prediction. If Ethan is officiating this game, the team that he wants to win, will win. That was made obvious on Sat. night. Since his brother coaches in Waseca which is in the same conference as NU, it makes perfect sense that he would pull for NU. Is it true that Ethan is not allowed to do Big 9 conference games? Is he allowed to officiate Waseca games? Friday night we will get to see one of two things. The Ethan Anderson show, or a great hockey game decided by two good teams.

Nice excuse or did you ever think that marshall maybe got that many penalties because new ulm out skated them and marshall couldnt keep up? or that marshall was getting mad they were losing and decided to get cheap?

Waseca hates New Ulm. I didn't see the first period of the game on Saturday, but honestly, I'm sure the ref was calling penalties that he saw.

either way this 2 teams are not good and are in the weakest section.... litch getting last place in wcc and making it to the championship thats pathetic... no matter wat either team will get dominated in state so it doesnt matter but im going new ulm 4 to 2

Keep it to yourself. We've heard it already. Either way, both teams want this just as bad as any other hockey team in the other sections, and going to state is great for any hockey program regardless of strength.

I played in that game, as a matter fact, I was highly involved in all of that.
I was down in the corner and a Litchfield player kicked me right in the "family jewels." There was not much time left, less than 2 mins remaining. I got up and tackled the player.... we just tussled a bit (not more than a few punches thrown), but with that it was on for both teams. From my memory, there were no game misconducts called .... but they did end the game right then and there. This was in Litchfield, and the New Ulm bus had a difficult time leaving town in one piece.

Seeing that would've been pretty entertaining.
