If they had done it the right way, Johnson would've won by 4!!!
Yes it was real windy that day about 2-3 miles an hour 22 degrees, They lost because they got ahead and quit playing.

I remember it being "upriver" for Johnson in both the first and third periods. That had to be it!

Might give an advantage to the Northern kids. I remember playing at colder then this on the outdoor rinks in elementary school frequently. Like they say in Roseau, "40 below keeps the riff-raff out".

The Blaine kids have played plenty of outdoor shinny. Sub zero too. Saying the weather favors one or the other would enable the loser to use it as an excuse after the game.

If Roseau wins, it won't be because of the weather. Same goes for Blaine.

The secret is out. The reason northern teams are so much better than metro teams is because it gets colder up north. Thank heavens the state tournament is played indoors otherwise the disparity between northern & metro teams would be even wider! :)

I've lived in Roseau, I've lived in the cities. It gets cold in the cities, but its colder, for longer amounts of time, earlier, and stays later then the cities. Roseau is almost 400 miles north of the twin cities. Do the twin cities have the same temperature as Kansas City MO?
