Yes it was real windy that day about 2-3 miles an hour 22 degrees, They lost because they got ahead and quit playing.Govs93 wrote:This is a prime opportunity to remind everybody that the only reason that Johnson lost the BBHC last year was because they had to skate into the wind for 2 periods, when they clearly should've done it NHL-style and made them switch ends halfway through the 3rd period to even it out.
If they had done it the right way, Johnson would've won by 4!!!

I remember it being "upriver" for Johnson in both the first and third periods. That had to be it!2nd string wrote: Yes it was real windy that day about 2-3 miles an hour 22 degrees, They lost because they got ahead and quit playing.

It's ok, kiddo. One day you'll learn about a thing called "sarcasm".
What defense? I'm just trying to explain what you clearly didn't understand without using the word "moron".2nd string wrote:Govs93 wrote:***sigh*** Another humorles northerner who doesn't get it.2nd string wrote: Yes it was real windy that day about 2-3 miles an hour 22 degrees, They lost because they got ahead and quit playing.

Might give an advantage to the Northern kids. I remember playing at colder then this on the outdoor rinks in elementary school frequently. Like they say in Roseau, "40 below keeps the riff-raff out".yasoguy wrote:How cold does it have to get before these games cancel? The minus in temp is one thing, but wind chill on top of that is tough.
He mustve bribed the coach to get that high! (sarcasm)Can't Never Tried wrote:Easy Govs he's only a 2nd stringer.Govs93 wrote:What defense? I'm just trying to explain what you clearly didn't understand without using the word "moron".2nd string wrote:nice defense!
The Blaine kids have played plenty of outdoor shinny. Sub zero too. Saying the weather favors one or the other would enable the loser to use it as an excuse after the game.61ache wrote: Might give an advantage to the Northern kids.
The secret is out. The reason northern teams are so much better than metro teams is because it gets colder up north. Thank heavens the state tournament is played indoors otherwise the disparity between northern & metro teams would be even wider!61ache wrote:Might give an advantage to the Northern kids. So in other words it don't mean squat !watchdog wrote:it gets below zero in the cities what twice a year? im sure their all out skating on those days. fact is roseau doesnt skate out doors at all but on the flip side i know its alot colder around here all year. hell i drive to the cities and it feels like spring.
I've lived in Roseau, I've lived in the cities. It gets cold in the cities, but its colder, for longer amounts of time, earlier, and stays later then the cities. Roseau is almost 400 miles north of the twin cities. Do the twin cities have the same temperature as Kansas City MO?Neutron 14 wrote:The Blaine kids have played plenty of outdoor shinny. If Roseau wins, it won't be because of the weather. Same goes for Blaine.
I wish...61ache wrote: Do the twin cities have the same temperature as Kansas City MO?
