Yeah...And make the kids use wood sticks and leather pads and let's watch it on black and white TV!

I do very much like and support some sort of 16 team format. Way to many deserving teams end up not making it to St. Paul. The goal should be to have the best 16 teams or (even 32 teams over 2 weeks)represented in the great state of hockey March showcase! Who cares if they are public, private, catholic, big or small.

"If "daddy's money" is such an issue maybe we should rank each school in the state by average total income per household and have a tournament for the 'rich schools,' one for the 'middle class schools', and one for everyone else. OR how about we get over the public vs private debate and play the game."
There's the best idea yet!

No, lets keep the debate going.
I think its interesting as heck, always have.
There are a lot of people who actually agree with BIAFP even though he is just an agitator.
But enough about me.
Lets get back to the proper format for our tourney.
I say take the top Catholic teams and put them in an upper bracket with the big suburbs and big outstate teams. We will call it ...hmmmm let me see now....I know, Class AA.
Then, take the less courageous Catholic teams like STA and put them in a lower bracket with a lot of farming communities so they can win and feel good about themselves.....and lets call it .............ahhh, ..how about....Class A.
Then , we can have the Catholics win both trophys.
Whataya think?

Per usual, PB does not go far enough...
We need more brackets:
One for Hill-Murray;
One for all the johnny-come-lately Catholic pretenders to Hill's throne;
One for some public schools that might give Hill a good game;
and another for the rest of the "I hate Hill" crowd.

But there should be a seperate bracket just for Catholics.
Boy, that certainly is TRUE.
