I dunno if it's being able to afford the PPV as much as it is not wanting to throw away money when you can watch it on YouTube 2 hours later...
I hear you, I just didn't want Govs to feel too bad about spending this week's gas money on the event
We're doing ok... I made my brothers foot most of the tab for coming over to watch it in HD anyway!

The Heavyweight fight after Brock's was worth the price tag by itself. Outstanding. It was a prime example of what I said earlier about a fighter thinking his way through a fight.

"It's official: Minnesota Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Commission executive director Scott LeDoux on Monday was notified that Ultimate Fighting Championship plans to hold a card Aug. 9 at Target Center that could feature ex-Gopher Brock Lesnar and fellow Minnesotans Sean Sherk and Brock Larson."

Lesnar won a 3 round unanimous decision tonight. The caught Heath Herring with a right hand early in the 1st which busted his eye open and then it swelled shut. Brok just held him down the for the rest of the fight. It was never in doubt.

Lesnar is going to get a shot at the UFC heavyweight title when he fights Randy Couture in Novemeber.

Now we'll see if he's for real or not!

ESPN Did a feture on Lesnar a few days ago.

Watch him freak out when the reporter starts hinting at steroids. :D

in case you've been living under a rock for the last month, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rq0ic87gqg , it'll be interesting if we start seeing more pro wrestlers make the switch to MMA, i wonder what boogaard, laraque, and lucic are doing in the summer, i bet they could do some damage in the ole octagon

I bet not. I don't see them having much of a ground game.

Brock is slightly different than most, so don't try lumping NHL fighters & 'pro' wrestlers into the same group.

Actually, it should read more like "if you've been having a life for the last month".

i've been out ouf the country since september, up here in canadaia land they love the UFC, so every sports show talks about it right after they cover hockey, i guess i just kinda figured that back home in civilization they were trying to hype it up too.

and ER that thing about the nhl enforcers was a weak attempt at humor, as for the other WWE guys tho if im not mistaken most of them have wrestling backgrounds like brock, and if they can kick the roids and still keep all or most of that muscle, they'd probably be good strikers. White the UFC president said that he expects the heavyweight division to start looking more like lesnar and less like coture so i could see the ufc trying to lure some big names from the WWE.

There are a few, but that doesn't mean that they were good. Sheldon Benjamin is the last decent one that I've heard of that joined the WWE and he wouldn't be in the same weight class as Lesnar. Very few, if any, of the big guys could do it.

i was watching sportsnet up here in the great white north and i guess this Lashley guy who was formerly in the WWE has now started his MMA career, and they are saying if he starts out as well as Brock did they could face eachother for the title belt down the road, i think its a little early to be talking about the belt but i do find it interesting another one made the switch.
