That's crap on firing the officers, it's all been an attempt to discredit the only visionary that Rogers has ever had in it's former city administrator Gary Eitel.Mr. McTabish wrote: I heard rumors the city of Rogers fired a couple police officers to make cap room so they could afford the ice arena. You heard any truth to that, Empire? Also didn't the tornado factor in the building of the new ice arena? Did they lose money on the first arena that went down?
Ive played there, the crowd really gets into ittomASS wrote:a picture of the new proposed Victoria Ice arena

I don't know about firing the cops directly relating to the ice arena. The tornado only knocked down one of the walls which was all they had up at that point, it pushed back the opening but nothing more.Mr. McTabish wrote:I heard rumors the city of Rogers fired a couple police officers to make cap room so they could afford the ice arena. The Rogers arena had a few troubles getting made when it came to $, I guess having 1/2 an arena is better than nothing.

He had a lot of money and really liked hockey. What more could you ask for?tomASS wrote:was since he is now on the wrong side of the ground.hshckfan08 wrote:WOW! This place looks insane. Ralph is a nice guy.
Don't know anything about how nice he was, but he had money, influence and some fortunate people benefitted.

Great picturesvintageminnesotahockey wrote:Thought I would post this since we finally were able to get a few minutes to upload some new photos of Warroad Gardens, Warroad Olympic, and Roseau Memorial arenas that were taken over the Hockey Day Minnesota Weekend. We will upload all 900+ images of the games from Baudette over the next few days. Click on the arena images to see a little bit of building history and more....Enjoy

I have seen both of these rinks up close and i think that when Warroad plays a big game (Example: Roseau) the atmosphere in that arena is amazing. at the same time, however, when cloquet is sold out it has an amazing atmosphere. Two of the best high school rinks in the state.MNRinkRat wrote:The Gardens in Warroad in very nice.
Cloquet's arena is awesome as well.
