The polls for tonight's set of games are now closed, with 11 participants. Looking at which teams our panel of experts say will win tonight, it's:

Cloquet over Hibbing, 11 votes to 0.
Centennial over Elk River, 8 to 3
Hopkins over WBL, 8 to 3
Bemidji over Moorhead, 11-0
Edina over Minnetonka, 9-2

All games tonight have a heavily favored winner. Will be interesting to see how these turn out.

Two or three of the "Underdogs" will probably win.

Well, I'm heading to the sports center to watch Moorhead host Bemidji. I will have a report when I return.

Moorhead 2
Bemidji 1

What a game! Spuds played well enough to win and contained Sarah E very well. Bemidji cut it to 2-1 late in the third and got a three on zero rush after the ensuing faceoff. Betsy Miller made another big save and Moorhead held on.

I could be wrong but I don't think that Cloquet and Hibbing/Chisholm played tonight. School was cancelled in the surrounding areas because of road conditions and it's cancelled again tomorrow (Wednesday) because of bad roads and temperatures.

If that's the case and they don't reschedule before the regular season ends, then it's a wash and everyone gets 0 points. Fair enough?

ontheroadagain, thanks for the Centennial-Elk River score, and congrats to Centennial for winning the NW Suburban Conference title.

Assuming the Cloquet-Hibbing game was postponed, here are tonight's highlights and point totals for the four games played.

Nobody predicted Moorhead's upset win over Bemidji, so that's -1 points for everybody. But ice29 and StateChamp97 each got the Hopkins-WBL and Edina-Minnetonka scores correct to jump to the lead. CardFan, MNHockeyFan and DmanDad1980 each got one score right to stay close.

Point totals so far:

ice29: 6
StateChamp97: 6
CardFan: 4
MNHockeyFan: 4
DmanDad1980: 4
GoCards1: 2
goalzilla: 0
Hansonbrother: 0
bensonmum: 0
boblee: 0
hockeyrube7: -2
twowayplay: -2

Please keep an eye out for the rescheduled Cloquet-Hibbing game (if they do reschedule it).

Good luck to everyone on Thursday.

Thanks, no points won or lost for this cancelled game.
