THEY ARE DUE!!!!!!!!
Absolutely! The new Hwy 36 has brough the city together in a unity never seen before...
The "New" NSP will rally around itself at Polar Arena - instead of getting squashed by a semi loaded with cement blocks trying to get there as in the past.
When you lose 14-0 like NSP did last night, there is no place to go but up!

That would be absolutely comical...

That would be awesome! But seriously a "dark horse" that could do it... Centennial

I don't know that a #1 seed in a section can b e considered a dark horse (unless you are in 1AA that is). I fully expect to see Centennial in state.
Here's my darkhorse...
Moorhead (winning 1-0 in the section final in a reverse of last year)

Burnsville. They will be coming in as an underdog, playing as poorly as they have been all year. They are due to surprise people

Rosemount actually was 1-20-1 going into sections in 1992, put together 5 straight wins to take 2nd at the state tournament to Greenway in the tier 2 tourny. Isnt that incredible.

Bloomington Jefferson-Great team, good goaltending and a potential for a big upset against some great teams in that section.

For those who haven't figured out what 'dark horse' means yet

, refer to #3 below:
Definition:
1. little-known person: somebody about whom very little is known or who tends to be reticent, especially somebody who subsequently reveals unexpected talents
2. politics - unexpectedly successful candidate: a candidate who gains an unexpected amount of support in an electoral campaign
3. sports - unexpectedly successful contestant: a little-known competitor who achieves unexpected success in a race or other sports contest

The Rosemount Irish. They come into the state tournament with a conference champtionship, a Mr. Hockey finalist, and the top point getter in the state. They'll turn some heads at the X.

White Bear could definetely make some noise at the tourney if they can beat HM in sections.

Jefferson, Rosemount, Eastview, Woodbury, Burnsville, Holy Angels, East, Hopkins..... Would you be suprised if one of these teams won it?

YES (but the thread is about dark horses so - kudos for your guesstimate)

I think Duluth East is a team that could make a lot of noise at the state tournament.

Anyone can win it but here are a couple teams that legitimately can win it all.
My underdogs:
1. Eastview
2. Blaine
3. Duluth East
4. Anoka
5. Eden Prairie
6. Burnsville
My favorites:
1. Edina
2. Roseau
3. Minnetonka
4. Benilde
5. Hill-Murray
6. Rosemount
Not many people were picking Cretin or Roseau the last 2 years at this point of the season. Beware of the underdog.
