Best of luck to Alex and his family. It takes a strong and brave man to lay it all out on the line for his team like that. They should be extremely grateful to have a teammate/son/brother/friend like him.

It has been a long and scary past few days for my parents and I. But thanks for all the prayers and keeping Alex in your thoughts. Its very comforting to know people around the state are thinking of him. He is a tough kid and i couldnt ask for a better brother. We can only prayer for a full and speedy recovery. Besides he has to stick around, how else are people going to see all the skills i taught him.

I just want to thank the entire state of Minnesota for the support you have shown Alex and his family. Also i want to thank everyone for the support you have shown our hockey team. It has been a tough last 24 hours for everyone from our team, especially the Larson family. I have known Alex since i was about 6 and we have been great friends and seeing him go down like he did the other night is just surreal. You would never think that it would happen to someone you know. I hope that noone goes through what the community of Faribault has gone through in the past day. I am extremely happy to announce that Alex is recovering great and he was sitting up on his own and he is very responsive to his visitors. He still has no memory of what happened but he is very upbeat and itching to get out of the hospital. He definetly is a role model to all of us on the Faribault hockey team. He literally played his heart out for us. Alex Larson is a hero in my book and i cant wait until he comes back and suits up. I hope that you keep your hopes and prayers with Alex and his Family and all of us from the Faribault hockey team appreciate the support that the great state of Minnesota has shown. They say that hockey is an extended family and all of you have shown that during this time. Thank you Minnesota for the support you have shown to us and especially Alex.
We all love you Lars. Cant wait until you get back.

Alex Larson is one of the greatest people i have ever met. I have known him for a while but never really talked to him much until this year. this is my first year playing on the same team as him. he is a great competitor and never stops going, not even at practice. i know that he appreciates everything that all of you have done for him to help him through this tough time. i haven't had the opportunity to visit him yet but when i do tomorrow i will make sure that he knows that he has people praying for him and helping him pull through. seeing him after he blocked that shot was one of the scariest, if not THE scariest, thing that i have ever witnessed. and calling for the ADD just made it even harder. i hope that none of you ever have to go through a situation like the faribault hockey team went through last night. i definitely admire DICK LARSON! for everything he has done and has taught me a lot through the course of the season. thanks Dick and i love you!
your friend and teammate!

Hope you recover fast, Alex. It is heartbreaking to see any kid get seriously injured in this great sport. I have one who plays high school and you never really think about it if only way in the back of your mind.

You must be some kind of kid from the posts I have been reading in the past few days. You obviously play this game the way the hockey gods intended it to be played and are an inspiration to all of us around the state.

All the best.
