2. I'm not sold on Fischer running the power play and have heard good things about Lofquist but never seen him play, and I still would rather have Ness running the powerplay than one of them.

Fairchild will run the PP next year. I don't even remember Goligoski, Martin, or Leopold running the PP as freshmen that much, let alone Ness will be a year younger than those guys.

Anyone got any insight on how Ness is doin with all the school work? Hopefully he gets through it, him and Schroeder are going to be studs

I agree Fairchild will run the PP next Year. Ness doesnt have the shot Fairchild has. or the experience of running the PP at the college level.

Ness probly won't shoot the puck a lot for the Gophs on the PP, he has great vision, instincts, which allows him to make creative passes on the PP.

A former gopher player and HS coach, who now coaches youngsters, feels that Schroeder and Ness would be the top 2 players on the Gophers team if they were on the team right now.

I think that Ness would be the best defenseman. but there is no way Schroeder is better than Wheeler.

I was at the UMD US game and I thought schroeder was one of the best on the ice if not, the best on the ice. He will most likely be on the gophs next season unless something weird goes wrong. Everyone always says he is good but not big enough...this has yet to be a problem for him puttin up points. I guess we'll have to wait and see if this is ever going to be a problem for him. The only reason he doesn't go #1 in the draft is teams will be worried about his size. One of the smartest players with the puck I have seen at his age. He will be a site to see
