There's a kid from Apple Valley #24 this kid has size and skill. might be top 5 player a peewee level.

all great palyers! just what i've seen so far.

From what I've seen at games so far this year here's my rank of top players that make positive impacts on their teams in PWA, the ones with the ability to change the outcomes of games:

#1 - Cloquet #11, great skater, great with puck, always makes an impact on every shift. Used in virtually every position by his coaches and excels.
#2 - Wayzata #9, another player who is always making an impact when on the ice, you just always notice him for good things.
#3 - Apple Valley #24, has the ability to take over every shift when he is on the ice, once again an impact player with solid skills.
#4 - Edina #10 - Not the most skilled player on his team, nor the fastest, but probably the smartest. Always seems to be in the right position, good at setting line mates up and finishing himself.
#5 - Hastings #11 - When he's on his team wins, can go end to end almost at will.

Outside looking in:
#7 Lakeville South, still plays like a squirt, trys to be superman, doesn't utilize his teammates enough to make impact, when he does watch out.
#19 Eagan, good size, speed, hands, more one dimensional towards the offensive end, tends to disappear at times.
#8 Lakeville North, same as his Lakeville South counterpart
#10 Cloquet, lanky kid who just knows how to score goals

PLEASE NOTE:
NO DISRESPECT TO ROSEAU AS I HAVE NOT SEEN THEM PLAY YET (lost to a .500 team from the cities in first round of Moorhead tourney, but I wasn't there).
Nor have I seen the kid from West St Paul play. Only commenting on players I have seen, hopefully others will do so, too.

seen one kid that impressed me at the moorhead tourney #8 from grand forks. nobody else really jumped out at me in that tourney. on another note maple grove had a couple of little guys that were quick with good hands. i think 14 and 16. not total dominators but good players with the size disadvantage.

Luke Johnson, Steve Johnson's son, They moved back to GF this summer.

He is good with his stick and can skate but needs to keep his head up and move the puck to his teammates more, I am sure that he will get better. It sounds like he didn't have much for complimentary teammates from where he came.

Hopefully we can give Roseau a game this Saturday.

you guys did alot better than roseau in the moorhead tourney should probley do more than give us a game. hopefully its a good game from are end is more like it.

#8 for Grand Rapids is very solid in all aspects of the game.

The best I've seen by far this year is #12 from Eveleth. I don't know the kids name but he is unreal. The rest of the team is horrible but this kid can play.

I haven't seen a lot of PeeWee A hockey, but from what i've seen Tyler Funk and Michael Hommes are two to watch for from Hudson. And the team is way better than what its record says. But this McFadden kid sounds pretty good, too.

At this point in the season, #24 from Apple Valley is the best peewee A player and he is only a first year (he could play next year, but will probably move up). He has size and skills that will kill the other team. Often he will break through the first two players and is only beaten by the last few players clutching and holding or diving at his feet. The refs throw out the standards when this kid plays or else they would have to put the other team in the penalty box.

#24 from Apple Valley is a '95 and played PWA last season. How does that make him a first year PeeWee?

He played up last year...could have played squirts but chose to play on a great Apple Valley peewee team. He is a summer birthday. He also requested to play up with Bantams this year but the Apple Valley board refused the request.

I would add Jake Horton (Oakdale) 94 Fire is Pee Wee eligible and AJ Johnson (recently moved to Stillwater from Milwaukee)94 Fire also PeeWee eligible, he's 5'5' 170lbs. and both play a Bantam A schedule. Both would rip it up as PeeWee's.

Are you sure he requested to play up with Bantams? I was told One of his parents did, and the player was not aware of the request. Oh well he is a great player.

Counselor, yes the parents requested, but I'm pretty sure the player was consulted first on whether he wanted to. I believe it was a mutual decision....kid and parent wanted to.

Of the many players that I've observed:

Jake Horton of the Fire Bantam team is easily one of the top two or three PeeWee age players in the state. He is a rock solid defenseman and can set up plays or score at will against any A PeeWee. Hopefully he will be back in a Titan jersey next season.

My vote for number one has to go to AJ Johnson, #6 on the Fire Bantam team. I watched him play in the Bloomington A Bantam tournament last weekend, and he was one of the best A Bantam players out there. No A PeeWee that I've seen is even close to his abilities - excellent skater, agressive, team player, better shot than most A Bantams, ...
