There was a live link earlier today on the site, but that has been deactivated. There are a lot more players than in previous years. I'm wondering if there were some mistakes and the list might have fewer names when it shows up again. Just a guess.

I'm pretty sure that Minnesota is only getting 20 or 21 players. There's a good chance that the list floating around is wrong....

Is this accurate? I don't see anything on Minnesota Hockey website (as of Monday 5-14-07 @ 5:17 p.m.). Also, I had heard they were only taking 6 D. I count ten on the D list.

Please help with information.
It was active when I posted it....and that was minutes before my post :?

It does show it as inactive now...very interesting?

I as far as I know it's accurate as I just cut and pasted it...just lucky timing maybe? or their fixing something as they had some goalies playing fwd?I kind of thought there were an awful lot of players listed, but I just passed on the info.

Maybe you are right. However, if you follow D16Dad's logic he is correct.

Lots of good players in that class. I am sure there was a lot of discussion about which players should go to St. Cloud.

On this link is what I saw as well, thanks D16dad for gathering that up so it doesn't look like I was screwing with people here. :x

This list is not too accurate!

How in the blazes can they list Mike Lee of Roseau as a forward?

Therefore the entire list may be inaccurate!

Gardiner switched to D after the regular season. He played extremely well in the Gopher Festival and from the Natl.17 posting, impressed the evaluators. He looks to be a great offensive defenseman. Great with the puck - smart player.

A bit premature to label as great.

Too bad they had the screw up. Some pretty good players (Barnes, Everson, Leer etc.) were taken as alternates. Shows how good this group is. Congrats to all the kids who made it and to all the alternates...tough group to make the final list.

Well interestingly enough last year there were players not listed that went to NY, so I think you can take my original post of the selections yesterday, and assume at least some will be picked up to play as alternates, especially being it's here in St. Cloud, MN

Kind of a lucky stab to capture the alternates...don't you think??

Well.... I was a bit worried after they locked it back up, that people would think it was just made up...I don't think that would be to funny to someone that worked so hard to make that list to screw with them.
D16dad saved me with his link, but even now if you click on his posted link it has the updated list, so my post and the note on MN hockey site saying they listed alternates proved I wasn't messing with anyone.

How does the Zapeda kid keep making these teams? He has speed, but I watched him at the 16's camp last year and this year, does not seem to put forth max effort for the majority of a game. Does he have the right genetics?

That could be genetics. Although, I like him as a player.

Gardiner moving from forward to D (Minnetonka coach bumped a Benilde kid during first day of Advance tryouts) could be considered genetics.

I'm glad to see that Tony Palkki from Grand Rapids made the team. I was surprised a bit that he made varsity last year (with so many juniors available) but after seeing him play I can certainly say he belonged there. He's a great player and I hope he does well!!!!!!!!

All three of the kids you listed will play college hockey somewhere. They are talented players.

I would take all three on my team any day.

Stitches I agree about Zepada I think he is very talented, but plays with his head in the clouds too often. Hopefully he can do better next season.

Keep in mind he was a 10th grader. Considering that, he stepped up and was a solid contributor. The kid has upside.

I'd like to see him in the same zipcode as his defensemen once in a while.
