I heard Friedman is moving from a reputable source. The kid is a nice player and has the ability to score. Edina will benefit having him there.

Also heard that he hurt his knee at Selects. Hopefully he will be o.k.

What about Mitch Markiewitz (spell-check)... how come no one is talking about him, he's a very solid player returning for the Irish next year as a Senior. Not to mention that he made the Select 17 team this year... 8)

I saw them play four times, and never once did I notice this kid on the ice.

This could be that he is surrounded by some other great hockey players..i've watched him play a few times this year and at the select 17's festival and is a solid two way player physical, strong on the skates, good shot, he should be another solid player next year.

I would agree that he is surrounded by good players. This might be why I didn't see him.. the other players are better than him. But I'll watch out for #7 to have another nine goals next season

Exactly right..there is a lot of players out there who may not put up the goals but their presance on the ice is an impact to the game. 65one you sure can talk a lot behind that computer screen huh :?: Mitch (im not even going to try his last name  ) is a good two way hockey player who gives it his all. Cant take that away from the kid!

He may be a solid two way playerbut I'm not saying he isn't. I'm saying he is not a top player in the Lake, or even a top player to watch for on his team. This kid may play solid two ways, but he did not impress me when I saw them play. I don't know why you Rosemount guys are taking this personally, he just isn't the elite player you claim he is. He is a good second line player, but that is all. And that is why nobody is talking about him. I would say Rosemount has some very talented players like Brown and Porter, but this kid is not on level with them which he is not recieving the same hype as them.

Would you prefer I lie and say he is the all-star you are all making him out to be?

He isn't an all-star, he is simply a solid player. He eats up ice time.

He tore his MCL i heard against Rosemount in Sections or tore something, why would he even be playing selects? Of course he's going to hurt his knee again already.

65one is retarded.. mitch is a solid player, overshadowed by the likes of porter, percy, brown, etc. dont take anyone away from this kid you're making yourself sound stupid. he isnt an all star but he is good. end of story

This is what also makes you look stupid..the kid doesnt need to put up 100 goals to be a good player. Yeah scoring helps, but the kids in the right places and knows what to do with the puck. Yeah he is shadowed by other great hockey players that can bury the puck but he is still key to the team. Thats what gets people riled up when you rip a player

This was the original question. I replied honestly. Hes not getting talked about because you are right, he is overshadowed on his own team. Nobody talks about average players, or players that are "eating up ice time", or solid two way second line players. End of story. Im not ripping the kid, i'm being honest. If he were better, he would be getting talked about more. There is no way this should even be arguable.

If you weren't ripping on him then why did you say he isn't good?

Why would I have to be better than someone else in order to say that they are not very good? I must be talking to Mitch himself..

Are you kidding me? I have watched almost this whole team since squirts other then the one who have come in the last two or three years all of these players are solid the only senior that has left is Maroney and that gives less pressure to Morgan which is good yes this team will be one of the best in rosemount history if not the best this is not there only chance if they still had James Saintey and Ryan Walters they would be better but the youger kids who are still devolping haven't had there chance and the 08' class might see a State High School Hockey Apperance and might be at the top of the lake.
